Re: Economic Growth Revised
That's good news and investors welcomed it, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the broader Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index up more than half a percentage point in morning trading. The tech-heavy Nasdaq rose more than 1 percent.News Buzzard wrote:The economic growth was revised up to 2.5% for the second quarter:

What a fine job President Obama has done to recover this nation from eight years of the Bush administration.

Here's Some Good Economic News: U.S. Manufacturing Is Rising Once Again
Manufacturing employment has been growing steadily in the United States for nearly two years. That’s critical, because from 1998 to 2010, manufacturing has made the largest private-sector, value-added contribution to Real GDP. Manufacturing is an engine of our economy, and every new high-quality manufacturing job has a multiplier effect on job creation. The latest Institute for Supply Manufacturing report reveals 27 consecutive months of modest domestic expansion. And manufacturing employment added 35,000 jobs per month in the first four months of this year, 14,000 in the following four months, and another 36,000 in July, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Forbes reported that it is the first year-over-year increase since 1998 and that last year, “American manufacturers added value of $1.7 trillion to the U.S. economy, up 6.6% over the previous year after accounting for inflation. By the same measure, the rest of the economy grew by 2.2%.”

We have the data to back it up, just look at what has happened during the Obama administration:

In the meantime, the Republicans will once again try to crash the economy over the budget and the debt ceiling. I sincerely hope that President Obama doesn't cave in to their extortion!

I don't control how other Americans think or how the media talks about the economy, I just know this country is much better off than when Bush was President. If you can prove me wrong then how about some real data to backup your claims.
We now have a President who cares about all the people and not just the rich.

I found out why they were able to adjust the GDP ...
As President Obama readies a possible military strike against Syria Thursday, the White House 2013 Christmas ornament is going on sale with the slogan, “Peace on Earth.”
The White House Historical Association is advertising the new ornament on its website and on signs around town, including one in Lafayette Park across from the White House. This year’s ornament honors Woodrow Wilson, the 28th president, who pushed for a precursor to the United Nations.
PHOTOS: Say hello, Assad: See the Navy warships off the coast of Syria
The center of the ornament depicts an American elm tree planted by Mr. Wilson on the North Lawn of the White House on December 18, 1913, just before Christmas. It includes a wreath of olive branches, with two peace doves perched on the branches.
The reverse side is inscribed with part of Mr. Wilson’s message to Congress of April 2, 1917, as the U.S. prepared to enter World War I: “Peace must be planted upon the tested foundations of political liberty.”
The ornament is available for $18.95.
