TIME puts Vladimir Putin on its front cover in everywhere but America
OCALA, Fla., September 18, 2013 — Vladimir Putin is the man-about-Earth, let alone town, these days.
The most recent cover of TIME Magazine features a photo of him on its front cover, alongside the caption — rewritten with caps removed — “America’s weak and waffling. Russia’s rich and resurgent–and its leader doesn’t care what anybody thinks of him.”
This cover is only being published in TIME’s international editions, though. Here in the United States, a football player replaces Putin. Instead of the latter’s success, a story about compensating college athletes receives full attention.
Putin’s cover feature is just the latest bit of evidence regarding America’s downward spiral in the global community. The Russian President’s ability to broker a deal with Syria, which is designed to relieve the war-ravaged Middle Eastern country of its chemical weapons, made waves over the weekend.
America was eventually let in on the deal, but foremost credit is due to the Russian government.
“I think President Obama’s foreign policy rests less on defending American interests and more on his ideological distaste for the projection of American power and values. He is comfortable with a declining U.S. role,” former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton told The Washington Times Communities earlier this year.

Re: TIME puts Vladimir Putin on its front cover in everywhere but America
“The past four years were bad enough, but every prospect is that the next four will be worse,” he mentioned in the same interview. “Our adversaries worldwide have sized up Barack Obama, and they see he is weak and inattentive, concentrating on national security issues only when he has no alternative but to put his obsession with domestic efforts to “fundamentally transform” America (his phrase form the 2008 campaign).
“Accordingly, terrorists, proliferators and others who seek to weaken or harm America have recalibrated their policies to take advantage of our disarray, and I would expect those challenges to expand and accelerate in a second term.”

America's press keeps unpleasant news from the US.
The last moderator of yesteryear's Wolfeboro forum (News Buzzard) exercised that same power, and kept selected unpleasant news from us—in Wolfeboro.
Newsweek did the same when writing about America's fall in their International editions:
