Re: CBS Poll
President Obama's approval rating and support for his signature health care law have dropped to new lows in yet another poll, which also finds the public skeptical of the administration's efforts to fix the botched Obamacare website.
A CBS News poll released on Wednesday finds Obama at a 37 percent approval rating, down 9 points from 46 percent last month. Fifty-seven percent now disapprove of the president's performance, a new high for him in CBS' polls.
The poll is just the latest to show a sharp slide in the president's numbers as the administration struggles with the Obamacare rollout.
The website to register consumers in new health exchanges continues to be plagued by technical problems as the administration's self-imposed Nov. 30 deadline for fixing healthcare.gov nears.
Respondents believe Obama’s vow to fix problems with healthcare.gov before December will fall short, with 64 percent not confident the website will function properly by next month and 34 percent confident.
The poll finds that 67 percent say signing up for new Obamacare insurance exchanges is not going well with 11 percent saying the enrollment process is fine.
Obama has also been forced to apologize for his broken promise that consumers could keep their current health plans under Obamacare, as insurers begin canceling coverage for millions of Americans whose policies don’t meet the law’s requirements.
Those problems have also undercut support for the law, with only 31 percent now approving of the Affordable Care Act. That number, the lowest in CBS’s polling, is down 12 points from last month. Sixty-one percent, a new high, disapprove of the law.
Only 7 percent say the health care law is working fine, with 48 percent calling for some changes and 43 percent for repealing the entire law.
Obama’s personal approval rating is also underwater at a 37-57 negative split. A slim plurality say Obama is honest at 49 percent, with 48 percent saying he is not trustworthy.
The poll was conducted from Nov. 15 to 18 and has a 3-point margin of error.

Heckuva job, Obama! Americans jeer the president’s performance
Approval of his health care overhaul, commonly known as Obamacare, is now at an all-time low of 31 percent and disapproval is at 61 percent, a high for the poll, as his administration scrambles to deal with the fallout from a rocky rollout of major parts of the law on Oct. 1. Forty-six percent say they “disapprove strongly” of the law.

Re: CBS Poll
What I don't understand is … 31% still think obamacare is a good law! Either they are thinking with their hearts or they have never worked in any type of business.
Of course there is no mention of these polls on the front page of neither the New York Times or the Washington Post. 10:04 am

Re: CBS Poll
Apparently 60% of the website hasn't even been set up yet.

Re: CBS Poll
I watched the hearings yesterday. That is what I understood Park to say. He was asked how much more of the website had to be taken care of and he replied 60%. I was shocked! But then they started confusing everything and and tried to infer that it was the back end of the site pertaining to, but not limited to, the "pay here" section.

Re: CBS Poll
Yes, it has to do with the paying part. Isn't that something? None of that is set up.

Who said we don't have much use for polls? We have always talk about polls I thought? I know that you always choose to believe CNN and the mainstream and we choose to believe Fox but I thought we all liked to follow the polls????

Re: CBS Poll
You usually lambaste a pollster when the results don't go your way, and I don't see Obama being a lame duck at all. The Republicans will obstruct immigration reform at their own peril, as far as I'm concerned, and I think the pitfalls of Obamacare will be hashed out by the mid-terms.WHL wrote:Who said we don't have much use for polls? I'm really pleased that there is no more talk of getting rid of Medicare and Social Security, and the Republicans are no longer talking about shutting down the government (obviously). If there is no agreement on a budget we're stuck with the status quo, which is the overall preservation of Medicare and Social Security and further cuts in the sequester, mostly at the Pentagon. Since George W Bush doubled the Pentagon budget during his time I don't think it will be too harmful to cut it back some more.
Lame Duck? Hardly!
