Obamacare enrollment hits 2 million, 3 months to go
Mr. President...You hung in there and proved them wrong.
"And experts Monday said that with three more full months of open enrollment in Obamacare insurance left to go, millions more will likely sign up, possibly enough to top the 7 million total sign-ups that officials had projected last fall before the HealthCare.gov launch debacle."
Nice Job!!!!

Do these people count or are they necessary casualties?
WASHINGTON — State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is probing insurance giant UnitedHealth for booting 2,000 New York doctors from its Medicare Advantage health plan.
Word of the inquiry, revealed in letters the AG sent to UnitedHealth and the feds in early December, comes just days after The Post reported that the New York Medical Society is suing the company in Brooklyn federal court, charging the purge violates contracts with doctors.
“It has come to the Health Care Bureau’s attention that UnitedHealthcare has been in the process of terminating thousands of doctors from its Medicare Advantage Plan, resulting in at least 8,000 seniors losing plan coverage for their trusted physicians,” Schneiderman wrote to the company.
Noting that open enrollment ended Dec. 7 for Medicare Advantage plans, the AG’s office noted, “We are concerned that seniors will have had insufficient time to make an informed choice.”
He then requested information on the breakdown and number of physicians getting bumped, as well as the number of patients who would lose their doctor.

Two questions for you …
How many of those that have "enrolled" have actually paid for their first premium?
How many of those that have "enrolled" have signed up for medicaid.

I didn't think you would respond.
And this is the reason obama forced a government shutdown.
They’re the .0002 percent! That’s the minuscule number of visitors to healthcare.gov who actually signed up for coverage — just six people out of more than 3 million — on the first day, the Associated Press reports.
And the federal government’s Web site isn’t faring as well as state sites.
As of Nov. 30, 227,478 people had signed up on the sites of one of the 14 states that offer their own exchanges, but only 137,204 from the other 36 states had signed up on the federal site.
Still, 81 percent of young Democrats still approve of the Affordable Care Act — although 55 million Americans are uninsured.
The federal government itself estimates that in 2016 when most of ObamaCare’s provisos are expected to take hold, 31 million Americans still won’t have health insurance.

Official in charge of healthcare.gov rollout is retiring
The official responsible for overseeing the problem-plagued healthcare.gov website is retiring on Tuesday.
In an email to colleagues, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services chief Marilyn Tavenner said that Michelle Snyder -- the chief operating officer and second-highest ranking official at the agency -- was retiring “after 41 years of outstanding public service.”
“While we celebrate her distinguished career, we are also sadly saying farewell to a good friend and a key member of the agency’s leadership team,” Tavenner said in the email. “Michelle’s intelligence, experience and formidable work ethic have been indispensable to me and to many of you during her tenure.”
President Obama has been criticized for not firing any of the officials tasked with implementing the online marketplaces, which launched with numerous technical problems.

Dept. Of Human Services Tells Nearly 16,000 Iowans To Reapply For Obamacare
DES MOINES, Iowa (CBS DC/AP) — Thousands of Iowans who applied for health insurance through the federal government website may not have coverage on Jan. 1 because of a delay in paperwork.
The Iowa Department of Human Services said Friday that those Iowans should reapply through the state website or a call center because federal officials would be late in sending their application information to the state.
DHS says it has sent emails and letters to nearly 16,000 Iowans whose applications are being held at the federal hub. They added that if a person needs to see a health care provider in the interim, there’s no guarantee of coverage.

Re: Obamacare enrollment hits 2 million, 3 months to go
The bottom line is that this law is working and will work into the future.
Your doom and gloom prediction is far from being a reality, so just get on board and do something constructive instead of spewing negative cut and paste articles that will just get you all nerved up and ruin your day. Think positive about your country and you will see a big change in your physical and mental health.

obamacare is an unmitigated disaster. This "law" was made by a few to benefit a few at the inconvenience of the majority of Americans.
If you truly think this law is working you better stop looking for pictures to cut and paste and find out what is really happening in this country.
You still haven't answered my simple questions. If you can't answer those questions you cannot confirm whether this obamanation is working or not.

You are right, I can't answer those hypothetical questions and neither can you.
Right now it is getting better so that is what counts to me. The GOP will pay for all this negative BS because the American people know that they haven't offered anything to improve health care in this country.
It's the law so live with it.

Not only that, fsh, but they keep changing the rules. When enough didn't sign up, they changed the date.

I don't blame you WHL. I have a hard time writing the D word too. I used to be proud to be a Democrat. It now embarrasses me to admit that I was once so easily led by liberal rhetoric rather than common sense.
