That's a Knife in Hillary's Back...

Post  News Hawk on Fri Jan 17, 2014 10:03 am

The shills working for the Progs are unable to see it...

scratch

So Benghazi finally claims another victim.

The knife sticking out of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s back was stuck there slowly by fellow pantsuiter, Sen. Diane Fienstein, (D-CA.) who chairs the Senate Intelligence committee for the gentleman’s club also known as the United States Senate.

That knife means that Hillary is probably dead. At least as a presidential candidate.

Oh, yes, the New York Times won’t give it up quite yet.

But for Hillary, it’s o-v-e-r.

The Senate report on Benghazi released by Feinstein’s office is largely a compendium of what you, I and everyone outside of the Obama administration already knows: Benghazi was a terror attack, as acknowledged from the very beginning, and was largely preventable.

The preventer should have been the Secretary of State. Obama and the White escape responsibility.

Seriously. They should too. They can't even build a website. The intelligence process is waaaay past them.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein is strongly defending former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from criticism in the wake of a Senate report that condemned the State Department for not averting a preventable attack on a U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

“I want the record to be clear: I condemn any effort to use this report for political purposes,” said Feinstein (D-Calif.), the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. She was referring to remarks from Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) on the Senate floor on Thursday that were critical of the role Clinton, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, for not doing enough to prevent the attack.

“Statements on the Senate floor this morning and some media reports about the Senate Intelligence Committee’s bipartisan report on the attack against our diplomatic mission and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya, intimate that the report assigns culpability to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the tragedy,” Feinstein said.

She added: “The report approved on a bipartisan basis says no such thing. As a matter of fact, Secretary Clinton is not mentioned a single time in the 58-page bipartisan section of our Benghazi report.”

She pointed to six unnamed Republican senators, saying they were adding “additional views” on the report.

Clinton has born the brunt of the criticism from Republicans about the response to the attack at the Consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, that killed four Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Clinton’s defenders have dismissed the criticism as being politically motivated.

So let me get this straight, it's improper “politicization" to use Hillary's actions and results as Secretary of State to combat her political campaign?

Does that mean Hillary won't try to rely on her experience as Secretary of State to bolster her presidential campaign?

Yeah didn't think so.

It was a bipartisan report Quote from The House Intelligence Committee "In spite of the deteriorating security situation in Benghazi and ample strategic warnings, the United States government simply did not do enough to prevent these attacks and ensure the safety of those serving in Benghazi." "Americans in Libya were vulnerable and the State Department knew they were vulnerable and no one in the Administration really did anything about it.”

It is of course, intellectual dishonesty to blame the State Department and not Hillary.  The same goes for blaming the Administration and not Obama.

There is no doubt that Benghazi lacked the security measures that would protect our people. Everyone from the President on down knew this and by the reports I read they took a big chance that nothing would happen. The report clearly states the facts and now they are working on it. What will become of it is something that we will all just have to wait and see.

The Senate report that just came out revealed very little new information, but the Republicans are now desperate to discredit Hillary. A couple of nuggets from the report:

General Ham offered additional military assistance twice to Ambassador Stevens and the Ambassador refused both times.

The attack was a concerted effort by different groups that were loosely affiliated with al Qaeda. (Big Deal  Rolling Eyes )

The anti-Muslim video exacerbated the situation.

No one was told to stand down.

I wonder how much longer the Republicans will spin their wheels without getting anywhere? A desperate attempt to hurt Hillary will probably only help her. In the meantime I'm getting some popcorn for the alleged next round of hearings by Darrell Issa. I'm still waiting for him to bring Lois Lerner back!  Rolling Eyes

You either don’t understand or you are playing stupid.

It was the cover-up and the fake narrative that is the Benghazi scandal.  The lack of security in Libya was merely gross incompetence.

Once again...the smoking gun.

"But our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous — not a premeditated “

According to the transcripts, the General in charge said they(Obama & Hillary) knew immediately that it was Terrorist attack and it was premeditated.

So that would be a LIE.

“In Cairo, as you know, a few hours earlier, there was a violent protest that was undertaken in reaction to this very offensive video that was disseminated. We believe that folks in Benghazi, a small number of people came to the embassy to…or to the consulate, rather, to replicate the sort of challenge that was posed in Cairo, and then as that unfolded, it seems to have been hijacked, let us say, by some individual clusters of extremists who came with heavier weapons, weapons that as you know in — in the wake of the revolution in Libya are — are quite common and accessible. And it then evolved from there. "

Again, NOT according from the general in charge.

Was the President consistent with the latest intelligence when he said this on the 18th - 7 days later? "Extremists and terrorists used this as an excuse to attack a variety of our embassies, including the consulate in Libya.” He also said, “As offensive as this video was and, obviously, we’ve denounced it and the United States government had nothing to do with it. That’s never an excuse for violence.”

Of course not, it was a cover-up and a lie.

It's extremely unfortunate that you are using this tragedy for the sole purpose of attacking Hillary. There was no intentional deceit when it came to the events of Benghazi, and the blame goes all around. There was inadequate security after a couple of requests for more (poor funding included). There was inadequate military assets near Benghazi that could have responded that night. Ambassador Stevens should have accepted a stronger military presence when General Ham offered it to him, and the talking points should have been much more limited the following weekend until there was better clarity on what exactly happened. The Right Wing has been known to manufacture lies from government's statements, so the facts should be in place before a statement is offered. The suggestion of an intentional coverup by Clinton and Obama is a fool's errand and will just blow back in the Republican's face. This kind of meaningless criticism will only strengthen Hillary and she's leading all possible Republican contenders by double digits. Nothing will come from this witch hunt (again)!

That is very well put NB and thank you.  Wishful thinking is all the GOP has left in their arsenal.  They need to back-off, regroup, and give some thought as to where they can recover from all the battles they have created and lost.  This Benghazi issue is just another nail in their coffin.

You can point fingers at the dead guy.
You can point fingers at the Republicans.

It does not change the fact that this Administration knowingly lied about the cause of the attack and stuck with the lie for weeks.

You say: “the right manufactures lies so the facts should be in place before a statement is offered.”

Fair enough, so please tell me, why did Obama, Hillary and Rice manufacture a lie about a non-existent protest about a video?

You said “poor funding” was a contributing factor, FYI that was debunked a long time ago.

Fortunately the majority of people in this country identify themselves as independent. While you are hoping Americans will once again vote for a first, I am guessing after 8 years of misery and ineptitude, Americans will vote on something more important than skin color and sex.

Exactly NB...dreaming and wishful thinking, that's all the right wingers can do at this time. They call everyone liars but have no real proof to back up these charges. They need to spend more time on real issues instead of their obsession over our distinguished President and future President.

YUP, those were proud days for the republican party.  Hillary did her job and the right wingers have been after her ever since.

This is what you should be talking about during that time period:

Her name is "Jeanine".

"On August 10, 2005 in New York City, Pirro announced that she would seek the Republican nomination to challenge first-term incumbent Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, a Democrat, in the 2006 election for U.S. Senator from New York. Other Republicans who announced campaigns for the nomination were John Spencer, a former mayor of Yonkers, William Brenner, an attorney in Sullivan County, and attorney Edward Cox, the son-in-law of former President Richard Nixon. In a widely-publicised moment when she was declaring her candidacy, Pirro misplaced a page of her speech and went silent for 32 seconds, something that is widely considered to have damaged her campaign before it even started

On December 21, 2005, after continuing pressure from party chiefs, a lagging fundraising effort, and polls showing she would be defeated by Clinton (a Quinnipiac University poll found Pirro would lose to Clinton 62 percent to 30 percent), Jeanine Pirro dropped out of the Senate race just two months after she started her campaign. "I have decided that my law enforcement background better qualifies me for a race for New York State attorney general than a race for the United States Senate," she said in a statement.[17] Spencer was eventually chosen as the Republican Party's nominee for the Senate
."

So do you think she would say anything good about Hillary???  Pirro is a loser so now she is on Fox News where she has found a home with the other liars.

She wasn't smart enough to convince the people of NY though.

She has turned into a comedian...that's too bad because she evidently is smart...and very good looking.

Where is she a comedian?

No, Hillary had the press on her side. That is what it takes. Unfortunately the press pretty much runs this country, because most people only listen to the sound bites and don't pay enough attention to know the REAL DEAL.

Jeanine Pirro was investigated for conspiring with disgraced former NYC Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik to wiretap her own husband, whom she suspected of committing adultery. Eavesdropping is a felony in NY. Kerik was Police Commissioner under Mayor Rudy Giuliani and eventually spent time in prison for soliciting and accepting a free renovation to his apartment from a contractor who was interested in doing business with the city. Pirro's husband spent time in prison for tax evasion.
