Obama administration: Health law’s new rules will increase costs for most small businesses

The war on the middle class and average working person continues.
Congrats, voters.
The only fix to Obamacare is to prevent it from happening.
Nearly two-thirds of small businesses that currently offer health insurance to their workers will pay more for coverage as a result of new rules in the health care law, as will millions of small-business employees and their family members, according to new estimates released by the Obama administration.

Surprise!Ninety-six percent of small businesses say their premiums have increased in the past five years, with the average monthly insurance cost soaring from $590 per employee in 2009 to $1,121 in 2014, according to poll released earlier this month by the National Small Business Administration.

Obamacare is here to stay! Get over it.
"CMS officials note that there is a large degree of uncertainty associated with their latest estimates"
I wonder how you can blame Obamacare for 5 years of premium hikes when it officially started on January 1, 2014?
Once again, a report is cherry picked for the next chapter in the Right Wing Book Of Mythology!
Here are some real stories about Obamacare and people who have the new freedom to move about in careers, or leave them:

Thank you, Mr President!

Would someone please tell me why we even bothered to change health insurance if it is just going to cost more and cover less?????????? The whole idea was to make it better and instead Obamacare made it worse.

I can blame OBAMAcare because the benefits started shortly after the bill past.
About the same time insurance rates skyrocketed.
Did you really believe covering adults to the till they turned 26 and covering pre- existing conditions would be free? Next you will be telling me lowering the standards to collect medicaid and giving subsidies and free insurance to 30 million people will save money.
By the way, it was the OBAMA Administration that said the MAJORITY of small business will pay more. Since when did the Washington Post start peddling "Right-Wing Mythology"?

Take your pet to the Vet and help pay for OBAMAcare?
What a concept!

Outerlimits, how can you go full throttle on a story with a disclaimer like this? You find it very convenient to blame Obama for everything that is wrong with health care in this country. Health care has been a complete disaster over the last 20 years and now it's Obama's fault?
When are you going to accept the fact that Obamacare is here to stay, and that we're all in this for the long haul? Somewhere down the road this horrible "fee for service" model that has been fleecing America for years will be stopped, thanks to Obamacare. You just don't get it. You're looking at Obama for 3 more years and Hillary for 8, and you're still whining like a little kid about something that you won't be able to do anything about!! How sad the Republican party has become!!

How can you ignore all the negative consequences of a law the majority of this country doesn’t want?
I will not deny the healthcare delivery in this country needed an overhaul, but I will not give a pass to those who are making it worse.
Do you really think Obamacare would have had a snowball’s chance in hell of becoming law given what we now know about it?
As for it staying a law, time will tell. Prohibition was once the law of the land too.

It is you who is not accepting reality, Outerlimits! Just look at the continuing list of red states that are finally caving in to the Medicaid expansion. They now have 4 million people signed up and millions more covered by the under age 26 factor and Medicaid expansion.
Show me a politician who is willing to take health insurance away from these people!
The Republicans would better serve themselves by shifting gears and trying to improve this law, because the attempts at repeal are nothing but an embarrassing exercise in futility that is giving Hillary a free pass to the White House! That's OK with me because Hillary is going to preserve Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, you know, those programs that represent keeping old and impoverished people off the streets!

Re: Health law’s new rules will increase costs for most small businesses
Do you get up in the morning and try to be wrong or does it just work out that way?
While Carnac the Magnificent impression is amusing, there is a lot of time between now and the next election. Predicting the outcome of a 2016 election (and reelection in 2020) now is like trying to predict what my wife’s mood will be at 6:41pm next Thursday. It is an exercise in futility. Remember, nobody knew Obama in 2006.
The vast majority of the people in this country want Obamacare gone. You cannot spin your way around this and politicians from both parties would be wise not to ignore this fact.

Outer, I think it would have passed even if we know how terrible the law is. I think Obama and the Dems. were bound and determined to pass a health care law and it didn't matter what it was like as long as it passed. It is certainly not the AFFORDABLE Care Act!!

I would hardly call 51.6% the vast majority, and there is increasing support for a single payer system:

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/health_care_law
There is no doubt in my mind that this law will become more popular as time goes on, regardless of Republican tantrums!

51.6% oppose, 39% approve.
That is a 12.6% point differential and that is overwhelming.
The differential between Obama and Romney was only 3.9%

The disapproval is so high because the Republicans have been ferociously attacking it since day 1. We have different views of what overwhelming means. I think 80-20 is overwhelming, not 52-39. There is nothing you can do about it anyway, except complain!

Re: Health law’s new rules will increase costs for most small businesses
And that is where you are wrong sir. I along with the 52% can vote.
I believe we have yet to see the worst of Obamacare. It seems every week we find out about new problems and consequences of the law. There is reason parts of this law keep getting pushed back till after elections. Obama and the democrats have constantly lied about this law while you and other enablers have refuted every example of this abysmal failure.
Germans have a word for people like that…actually when translated it is two words.
Pretty sad when the only way to defend an epic failure of an idea, is to blame it on a disastrous execution that you were also in charge of.
And of course blame the people that were against it since day one.

You all can thank Bush for Obamacare. If he wasn't so terrible the Democrats never would have gotten 60 seats in the Senate and the House majority at the same time. Now really, who are the blind ones here?
Obamacare is here to stay! Get over it.
