Ayotte (RINO-NH) Stands Her Ground...

This is about protecting abuse within the tax code, which again, I have a letter from a member of her caucus who recognized this problem as well based on a Treasury IG report done under this administration.
This amendment is about protecting the American taxpayer. We need to be able to have votes on behalf of our states, on behalf of the American people, and if we disagree, let’s vote them down,” she added. “I don’t see what the issue is there, unless you’re worried that it’s going to pass because it just makes too much sense.”
(Veterans didn't enlist to support Socialism, may I remind you).

"Against the bill to restore survivor's Veteran benefits"? I thought the bill was only reducing the COLA by 1%. You make it sound like Veterans have totally lost their benefits!

Senator Ayotte is now troubled by the possibility of base closings, including The Portsmouth Naval Station:

I wonder if Senator Ayotte remembers that it was the Republicans who forced the debt crisis in 2011 that resulted in the sequester? And even though the sequester resulted in Pentagon cuts the Congress refused to grant another request from the Pentagon for a base closing commission to enact those cuts. Now that the Pentagon says they're going to close the bases on their own without the Congress, it is the very same Republican party, including Senator Ayotte, who is protesting. The Republicans should have thought about this before they held the entire nation hostage to the debt limit in 2011.
