North Dakota and fracking and high wages
We heard a little more about the high wages being paid. Yes, they are getting good wages, but the cost of everything has also gone crazy, rent, food etc. A guy who was a truck driver was making a lot of money but he said it quickly disappeared because everything was so costly. He also said the McDonald workers were not all making 17dollars and hour, only the managers. And it is no surprise, as wages go up, costs go up. But still it is good there a jobs for people who want them. It's sort of like the cost of living in NY or Boston. The wages are higher but you don't really get ahead.

Since the cost of commuting has doubled, there's little income left to save.
The more you spend on electronics, and the newest electronics "recreational" uses—it's almost like having an additional mortgage.

Fracking is good enough for Vermont...!
Vermont just replaced its only only nuclear reactor with fossil fuels obtained from fracking!

The replacement energy source for this shut down reactor is shale gas, a fossil fuel whose combustion causes global warming, and which is obtained from fracking.
