The KochPAC gave almost $200,000 to Democratic candidates and committees, including just most recently in 2010. This included a $30,000 donation to the DSCC.

But isn’t it funny how top Democrats like Harry Reid harp on how the Kochs are ruining politics and complain about their partisan allegiances? Since 2000 KochPAC has given more than $1.4 million to Democratic candidates, leadership PACs and committees. Who’s partisan now?

Now, this is not to say that the Kochs haven’t been a huge part of funding Republican ideas, but it must be awfully frustrating for them to have people constantly criticizing them. The whole point of funding political interests is to support those ideas and people that you like. Clearly, the Democrats that were receiving help from the KochPAC had something of interest to the brothers.

How does Soros feel about what he did as a teenager? Has it kept him up at night?

Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes asked him that. Was it difficult? “Not at all,” Soros answered.

“No feeling of guilt?” asked Kroft. “No,” said Soros. “There was no sense that I shouldn’t be there. If I wasn’t doing it, somebody else would be taking it away anyhow. Whether I was there or not. So I had no sense of guilt.”

That moral hollowness has shaped Soros’ life. He’s a rabid critic of capitalism, but in 1992 when he saw a chance, he speculated against the British pound, causing it to crash, devastating retirement savings for millions of Britons. Soros pocketed $1.1 billion for himself. If he didn’t do it, someone else would, right?

In 2002, Soros was convicted of insider trading in France, and fined millions of dollars. He admitted buying the shares, but denied it was a crime.

Last year, when he made $3.3 billion off the banking collapse, he called the world’s financial crisis “the culmination of my life’s work.”

The money that the federal government is using to pay for the expansion has to come from somewhere. That "somewhere" is the tax payers - including the middle class.

States are required to balance their budgets. So when they take on a more Medicaid spending - which could easily be hundreds of millions of dollars a year, they have to decide if that means they are going to raise taxes or cut other spending.

We cannot afford is to keep pretending that everything is free.

Are you willing to pay higher taxes to pay for this?

Or how about we cut funds to schools and roads - the other two large categories of spending at the state level?

You got your gas tax and now you seem open to more taxes like sales and income tax. That is one of the problems with Democrats and establishment Republicans; they can never get enough revenue.

New Hampshire has done just fine with small government.  We built our roads schools and bridges without the need to “generate” new revenue from our residents. Now we have a influx of people who have destroyed their own state and want to change what makes New Hampshire special.
