Obamacare Mandate Lawsuit Tossed
I wonder if John Boehner will be foolish enough to waste the taxpayer's money and file the same suit?

Judges in your article mentioned how the lawsuit could succeed—next time.

That's right, 3 Republican judges did say that, but one law firm has already quit on Boehner!!

60 Percent of Voters Want Obamacare to Be Repealed
Just wait until some of the other aspects/costs of this debacle occur after the midterm elections.
Obama intentionally delayed implementation when he was under fire for some of the obvious lies he told. It was after a meeting with (D's) who are up for reelection that he decided to delay certain aspects of the plan until after the election. He did this because people are going to freak out when they lose their plans or have to pay through the nose for them.
Unfortunately for the criminally corrupt Obama administration and the terminally incompetent and complicit Congressional Democrats, there will be more cancellations coming before the midterm elections
The Democrats were probably going to lose the Senate races in Alaska, KY, ME, TN, NC and CO. After this wave of cancellations comes through, you can pretty much bank on the GOP winning those races.
It turns out that Obamacare is the gift that keeps on giving - to Republican congressional candidates.
A new poll finds that three-fifths of likely voters support the repeal of Obamacare. A large plurality — 44 percent — wants to see Obamacare repealed and replaced with a conservative alternative. A much smaller group —16 percent — wants to see it repealed but not replaced. Less than one in three respondents — 32 percent — would like to keep Obamacare, whether in its current form or in amended form. So, with a conservative alternative in play, 60 percent of Americans support repeal, while only 32 percent oppose it.

You're not going to get it repealed, no matter who takes the Senate. Keep trying!

You might be right, but there is a price to pay when a party goes against the will of the people.
The fact is Obamacare is well below water and in fact, has never been above water. It cost the Dems the House. It appears it will cost the Dems the Senate next month and if Democrats continue to push against the will of the people, it could cost them the Whitehouse in 2016. Of course if that happens, and the Republicans control Congress and the Whitehouse, Obamacare will be repealed and replaced.

I am right, and 2016 won't be as favorable to the Republicans as this year is, and furthermore you don't have the Senate in the bag yet. I find it interesting that you quote a snippet from an article but you won't attach the entire article. The exchange enrollments will begin again in another month and more states will be doing the Medicaid expansion once several of the Republican governors lose their seats. Poor people vote also, and voter suppression is not a good long term tactic!!

Re: Obamacare Mandate Lawsuit Tossed
What are you basing your belief that 2016 will somehow improve for Democrats? The trend has been steady net negative for the past 18 quarters. what is going to change that?
The link you requested: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/60-percent-voters-want-obamacare-be-repealed_808409.html
The pre-Obamacare system had an approval rate of 80%; Obamacare can even crack half of that. Obamacare is a total failure and losing approval every week.
The “ACA” is not, and never has been, about insuring the masses, it all about power and control over the masses.
You fell for a scam and continue to support it, the blind following the corrupt.
Something must be done.
This is something.
Therefor it must be done.

Obama's promise about Obamacare won lie of the year and his remaining supporters attempt to pivot to voter suppression.
You have to admire the unwavering support and nerve. Personally I'd be too embarrassed to say anything about the honesty of Obamacare opponents after the monumentally huge lie that was sold to get Obamacare passed.

That's a good article, but I'm sorry, repeal and replace is off the table. I see repair as a viable alternative, and you still don't have anyone who can come close to beating Hillary in 2016! As far as voter suppression goes, anyone in the country knows that it is the poorer element in our society who don't have photo ID, and the Republicans are counting on them not getting it. The bottom line: Eligible voters have the right to vote!!

There's a reason why conservatives are trying to do away with Obamacare, and it's all about money! (Isn't it always with them?)

I question is Obamacare will be repealed even if Congress and the President are Republican. It depends on who the Republicans are. If they are rinos, then it will stay.

Are you sure you're not a congressional Democrat? You write things that parrot what they say practically verbatim, so sometimes it's hard to tell if you're actually a citizen or just a loathsome politician.
The poor don’t have picture IDs is nonsense.
Without an ID one can’t get welfare of any kind, one can’t cash a check, one can’t get “free healthcare” and one can’t get housing.
So please tell me how can the poor not have a picture ID? Is the homeless a huge Democrat voting base?
Let’s not forget…one cannot get a JOB without an ID.

Exactly how would any government make healthcare plans "affordable" in absence of a subsidy?
NEVER have a majority of Americans supported the Obamacare. Not when it was debated. Not when it was passed. Not when it was "implemented". The continued defiance of the will of the people by the Obama administration runs completely antithetical to their push to enfranchise everyone and then use 'the will of the people' to want to push through, for example, gun law reform or immigration reform.
In addition to the big changes coming after the election, wait until the bailouts for these insurance companies take place - this will be, once again, running completely against what the Democrats rail against (government helping big business).
SO really, as pseudo 99%/ Occupy Wall Street kind of guy. How can you reconcile any of this in your head?

Re: Obamacare Mandate Lawsuit Tossed
That's right, back to the topic: Obamacare is the law, and it has been largely successful in insuring an additional 10 million people so far, and by the time the next enrollment period ends and combined with further expansion of Medicaid there will probably be an additional 20 million people with insurance, so if you have any inkling that you'll be able to get rid of a law that insured 20 million people you better seriously think about changing the medication you're on. You are never going to be able to repeal Obamacare in your lifetime!!!! That's the real world, not the Right Wing Book Of Mythology!!Outerlimits wrote:Back to the topic

Oh well, that’s it, MSNBC says the poll is garbage, end of thread close and lock it.
So many proclamations and predictions, so little substance.
We had 30 million uninsured Americans pre Obamacare this climbed to 46 million and now has fallen to 41 million uninsured. More than 61 million people, or about 19 percent of the U.S. population, are now enrolled in Medicaid. That represents a 3.9 million increase under expanded Medicaid and growing.
News Buzzard celebrates it as a success.
In the real world could you explain how Obamacare is doing well and people really like it when not a single opinion poll agrees with that statement?

The absolute is the law, while the polls always contain the variables. The most important number will be the 20 million people who have health insurance because of Obamacare. You'll never be able to reverse that!!

That's a standard operating line of the conservatives, without a shred of evidence of course.
