In a news conference today, Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting QB for the Packers next season.

Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be the starting QB because she had spent 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers. Even though she has actually never played football at any level from grade school up and never run the offense of any team or played the game.

During this period of time, she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, the nickel package, and man-to-man coverage, so she is now completely comfortable with all the other terminology involving the Packers offense. A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those polled supported the move.

That is so right. It shows how stupid the voters of NY were to elect her Senator just because she was married to Bill.

My friends and I drove Deanna from Austin Straubel Airport to Brett's apartment in September of 1992. They were both young kids and she told us that she hoped her boyfriend would play. We said, yeah right! Turns out Don Majkowski got hurt and this young kid, Brett Favre, came in and threw the winning touchdown pass to Kedrick Taylor with about 16 seconds left, and then went on to start every game for the Packers for the next 16 years. I believe that Deanna could start for the Packers because she is the only one who can kick Brett's ass! His number is getting retired next year and I wish I could see that. Deanna grew into a beautiful woman and their kids are beautiful!

Bashing Obama from the Right (and the Left)...

(CNN) -- Former President Jimmy Carter said President Barack Obama "waited too long" to go after ISIS and criticized what he described as the president's changing foreign policy.

"First of all, we waited too long. We let the Islamic State build up its money, capability and strength and weapons while it was still in Syria," Carter told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in an interview published Tuesday. The 39th president was in Texas working on a Habitat for Humanity project.

"Then when [ISIS] moved into Iraq, the Sunni Muslims didn't object to their being there and about a third of the territory in Iraq was abandoned," he continued.

The United States has so far led a coalition of countries in airstrike campaigns against ISIS targets in Iraq and Syria. But the militant group has continued to operate, and it's expected to soon capture the key Syrian border city of Kobani.

Carter also argued it would be strategic to have troops on the ground in Syria to help guide the air campaign. Obama, however, has pledged that the United States would not send troops into the country.

Wow.....and Fox hasn't run this yet?????   Could that mean that Fox actually has some standards or is it that they just missed it?   You should send it to Roger Ailes!

Meanwhile, here is what the President said....    BTW a very good job of editing, you should be proud!

Leaders and dignitaries of the European Union; representatives of our NATO Alliance; distinguished guests: We meet here at a moment of testing for Europe and the United States, and for the international order that we have worked for generations to build.

Throughout human history, societies have grappled with fundamental questions of how to organize themselves, the proper relationship between the individual and the state, the best means to resolve inevitable conflicts between states.  And it was here in Europe, through centuries of struggle -- through war and Enlightenment, repression and revolution -- that a particular set of ideals began to emerge: The belief that through conscience and free will, each of us has the right to live as we choose. The belief that power is derived from the consent of the governed, and that laws and institutions should be established to protect that understanding.  And those ideas eventually inspired a band of colonialists across an ocean, and they wrote them into the founding documents that still guide America today, including the simple truth that all men -- and women -- are created equal.

But those ideals have also been tested -- here in Europe and around the world.  Those ideals have often been threatened by an older, more traditional view of power. This alternative vision argues that ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs, that order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign. Often, this alternative vision roots itself in the notion that by virtue of race or faith or ethnicity, some are inherently superior to others, and that individual identity must be defined by "us" versus "them," or that national greatness must flow not by what a people stand for, but by what they are against.

Here is a transcript of the speech if you would care to read it....right....

You've got to admit that the video was much better work than we are used to seeing out of NH/APS...you know the ones...the video of the death boats racing at the speed of light through winter harbor taken from 2 or 3 miles away right after they have run down people swimming in the middle of the Broads and turning them into chum....those videos....this was of much much better workmanship!

News Hawk:

Not exactly:
News Corp. split into two companies in June 2013 amid fallout from the company’s phone-hacking controversy with its British newspapers.

The move spawned a new News Corp., housing publications such as the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post and Vogue. A second company, 21st Century Fox, oversees movies and TV programming, including the Fox News Channel.

Murdoch is chairman of both companies and controls just under 80 percent of the voting stock in each (between himself and his family trust). Who’s next in line? According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, it’s Alwaleed.

Alwaleed owns 7 percent of Class B voting stock with 21st Century Fox, second only to Murdoch, as of Aug. 19. The filing notes, in compliance with federal securities law, 40 percent of Alwaleed’s voting rights are suspended because he is not an American citizen.

He is the third largest stockholder in the new News Corp., trailing Murdoch and an investment firm, with a 6.6 percent stake.

Does that mean you think Fox News will actually do real news and report what is happening vs the speculative fear mongering that they are currently doing?

How should I know? I gave up on TV after the Trade Towers fell in New York City.

From what I can see, the deaths from contracting the flu are less than Ebola; still, Ebola is a terrible way to die.

Vindication after FOX' "Lying about witch doctors being burned alive in Africa.

CNN and their former employee Miles O’Brien teamed up last week to take a cheap shot at Fox News Host Andrea Tantaros. Tantaros had voiced her opinion, apparently deviant behavior in the view of the CNN types, regarding the likelihood that some Africans would seek the treatment of their Ebola afflictions from witch doctors in the U.S. and end up infecting many innocent Americans.

O’Brien and his liberal egghead cohort Brian Stelter made her comments a subject of their segment and made it a point attempt to belittle [FOX'] Tantaros, hinting that she is a racist, with O’Brien going so far as to say she was exposing her first world versus third world arrogance.

He called it offensive on several levels and reflective of a level of ignorance which he feels should be censored from our media and our discourse.

Vindication wasn’t long in coming for Tantaros. She made her comments on Thursday, October 2nd. Just four days later, on Monday, twenty-three individuals in the Tanzanian village of Murufiti are alleged to have participated in the burning to death of seven people they accused of witchcraft. Those believed to have been involved were arrested on Friday, after word leaked out about what had happened.
