"Net Jets"
Just saw 3 "Net Jets" go over-must be headed to Laconia to pick up race drivers or officials. Not really news, but it's kind of fun to see them all at the same time.

Re: "Net Jets"
Not familiar with "Net Jets"—helicopters or business jets? I saw most flights over this way.

Yeah, I call them "Net Jets" sort of like kleenex. You know a brand name for a generic thing. Big shots rent them or what they call I think own a share in them and when they want them they call and arrange for it. They are business jets.

Yet without them, we'd lose still another industry and suffer still more unemployment.

Well, I don't—but for only one reason only: Wolfeboro could have been a destination if the Town had bought the airport years ago. The runway could have been lengthened, and takeoffs and landings (like Caribbean destinations) would have been over open water. UPS and FedEx were willing to pay fees charged to land in such rural areas as Wolfeboro.
Lengthening the runway had already started upon the excavation of the Walgreen property, and the Town's road-works could have contributed greatly before simply giving it away—as they do today.

I miss the airport too. Although if it got really busy, I think you and I would both be complaining about it!!!
