A janitor at Goldman Sachs Battery Park headquarters was forced out into the dark and dangerous streets in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy because a drunken supervisor accused him of stealing $100, according to a new, $10 million lawsuit.

“They threw me out like a dog after working so many hours-- no sleep, hauling sandbags, for no reason,” raged Mefit Zecevic, 42, of Staten Island.

The Albanian immigrant was employed by ABM Industries for 11 years.

The company supplied blue collar staff to Goldman Sachs and Zecevic was ordered in to work at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28 to secure the building before the superstorm struck.

Zecevic toiled around the clock packing sandbags and moving equipment to higher levels of the office tower.

On Tuesday a supervisor named Eric Holt, slurring his words and swaying on his feet, allegedly accused him of taking money from a 7th floor closet reserved for Goldman Sachs employees, the suit says.

Holt then allegedly kicked Zecevic out of the building, forcing him to wade through fetid, waist deep water on a 13-hour odyssey back home to Staten Island.

“I told my supervisor, ‘Please leave stay until tomorrow. I have nowhere to go. I live in Staten Island!”

But his pleas fell on deaf ears, according to the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit.

“When I walked in the water, I didn’t know where I was walking,’ Zecevic recalled, noting that he still has nightmares from the harrowing journey. “There was wires in the water, sewer backed backed up , I didn’t know where I was stepping, I just kept going, I had no choice.”

Supervisors even tossed Zecevic out a second time after a police officer tried to return him to the building, saying that they were "placing this man in danger," court papers allege.

Nearly hypothermic and fearing electrocution by the time he reached the Brooklyn Bridge Zecevic says he contemplated suicide.

A number of things can happen here, especially since the police got involved, and there would be a report. A report would support all the rest of his claims—however imagined.

However, his name is not just a Yugoslavian one: Albania is both Communist and Muslim. If he "overstayed his visa", or entered the country illegally, his claims could fall on deaf ears, or his "winnings" could be drastically reduced by jury or judge.

Nah, this would be a New York jury, where everybody there has his hand out.

"It’s not likely that you would think that there is any connection between the disaster of the Obamacare roll out and the Hurricane Sandy disaster of last year. But there is.

We all now know that the Obamacare roll out was an unmitigated screw up, the damned thing just doesn’t work. We now also know that CGI, a Canadian Company that had failed in a similar health care roll out in Canada was the Obama choice for the ACA work up. We also know that one of CGI’s top execs was a roommate of Michelle and that CGI became a whale contributor to Obama after they got the contract. We now know that the cost overruns are horrendous. We now know that Team Obama has given GCI about $1.4 billion since 2009. We’re paying piles of money more than we contracted for, and the product we were forced to buy doesn’t work.

But what about Hurricane Sandy relief and rebuilding, what is the connection with Obamacare?

Team Obama in the personage of The Disaster Hosing Assistance Program, hired CGI (of Obamacare roll out fame) to implement the Disaster Housing Assistance Program for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Additionally, they were tasked to aid in the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program, a $1.7 billion assistance program.

The Associated Press has just reported that only about $700 million of the $60 billion federal aid package – 1.2 percent of the total funds – has been given to victims of super storm Sandy. CGI strikes again.

Nearly a year after the devastating storm, a majority of the 24,000 families victimized by Sandy that have requested monetary assistance have yet to receive a penny from the federal aid package. There you have it, Team Obama and its minions strike again. Democrat/Liberal/Progressive governance again revealed as being contrary to the good of our nation.

So Michelle Obama's roommate has linked Canada's failures with ObamaCare's failures.

drunken

'Time for Michelle (and her entire entourage) to take another overseas trip to distract attention from this "Corporate-Cronyism"?

Well, Obamacare may be finished after the SCOTUS gets through with it.

But Hurricane Sandy brought "new" news today:

"The residents of Belle Harbor Manor spent four miserable months in emergency shelters after Superstorm Sandy's floodwaters surged through their assisted-living center on New York City's Rockaway peninsula. Now, the home's disabled, elderly and mostly poor residents have a new headache: The Federal Emergency Management Agency has asked at least a dozen of them to pay back thousands of dollars in disaster aid.

"...Rosenberg said the FEMA workers who urged him to apply for assistance during the period when residents were staying at the armory never explained that the money could only be used for housing..."
AP

Oh well, let them keep it. These folks are at least as worthy as the illegals feeding off the taxpayers and have probably paid into the system at some point.
