Yes, Obama is "getting his way", but the list anything but positive. (Except for Dim partisans).

◾️November 10: Surprised everyone by announcing his support for strong net neutrality.
◾️November 11: Concluded a climate deal with China that was not only important in its own right, but has since been widely credited with jumpstarting progress at the Lima talks last week.
◾️November 20: Issued an executive order protecting millions of undocumented workers from the threat of deportation.
◾️November 26: Signed off on an important new EPA rule significantly limiting ozone emissions.
◾️December 15: Took a quiet victory lap as Western financial sanctions considerably sharpened the pain of Vladimir Putin's imploding economy.
◾️December 16: Got nearly everything he wanted during the lame duck congressional session, and more. Democrats confirmed all important pending nominees, and then got Republican consent to several dozen lesser ones as well.
◾️December 17: Announced a historic renormalization of relations with Cuba.

America's "Boots on the Ground" were attacked by ISIS today:

In case you have forgotten, that is still a war zone, so what is your point?

That a plank in Obama's campaignings was not having "boots on the ground" in Iraq?

Apparently you do not know much about the U-S Military. Even though the American Troops that remain in Iraq are there as instructors, they are combat ready. Call them instructors, observers or whatever you'd like, but all American Troops in a war zone are combat troops.

The Bush Administration later sought an agreement with the Iraqi government, and in 2008 George W. Bush signed the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement. It included a deadline of 31 December 2011, before which "all the United States Forces shall withdraw from all Iraqi territory".[11][12][13] The last U.S. troops left Iraq on 18 December 2011, in accordance with this agreement.[1][12][11] US Forces ultimately returned to Iraq in the summer of 2014.
Wikipedia

That the troops left the "war zone" in 2011 as planned. Finally, seeing the "negative optics", Obama dragged his feet, had to reconsider, and sent a too-small force to return to Iraq.

ISIS attacked our insufficient troops unsuccessfully (as above), and will likely return with a bigger force.

It's incremental Vietnam all over again.

Sad
