If Obamacare is so good, how come everybody want to be exempt from it?

More Obamacare exemptions Empty ...some are more equal than others...

“It’s encouraging to see that Democrats in Congress are having second thoughts about their health care law, now that its disastrous consequences are hitting close to home. I hope Democrats will now come to the table and work with us to spare all Americans from skyrocketing health insurance premiums and the rest of ObamaCare’s taxes and mandates,” he added.

All Americans ought to be exempt from the onerous and costly provisions of Obamacare, not just a select few,” said Sen. John Cornyn of Texas in a statement emailed to TheDC. “The only way to remedy this is to repeal the bill in its entirety.”

At the time, it was a daunting 2500 pages!

The ObamaCare law has since "metastasized" to nearly triple that number.

Obamacare is falling apart before our eyes.

The long-term care insurance portion of Obamacare was unworkable and shut down by the administration’s own actuaries.

Taxpayer-funded health care cooperatives never got off the ground and were shut down in the fiscal cliff deal.

Last month the federal Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan stopped accepting enrollment applications.

This week 79 U.S. senators, including 34 Democrats, voted to repeal the law’s medical device tax.

Premiums in the individual and small group markets could spike as much as 116 percent next year.

The wheels are already wobbling and the worst is yet to come.

The plans that will be offered are going to be expensive because of the law’s mandates and regulations. Every major insurer is now warning of a huge spike in premiums, especially for younger, healthier people who can no longer be offered significantly lower rates than older people who use more health care. Some people may get subsidies to help pay but others will find their families ineligible for subsidies unless they stop working full-time or get divorced. Shocked

If you believe open enrollment will start October 1st, I got a bridge to sell you.

The ONLY golden lining of Obamacare is that it will take it’s toll on the parasitic low information voters first, hardest, and the longest. Of course they will just blame the Republicans for the failure or Obamacare.

Thanks, OL, for putting that into your own words. I think we all have a tendency to try to prove points by linking to another site. I'm as guilty as anybody. It's refreshing to hear another one's own thoughts.

It is much better to read it in our own words. I got used to doing links because on a previous site whenever you posted something several members said they didn't believe what you said so they wanted you to post a link to prove what you said. Links are not a lot of fun though. At least they can sometimes get a discussion going on here. I would much rather read what someone says or heard in their own words.

I love this forum, because you can say what you want and don't worry so much about making mistakes typing because you will be attacked by other members.
