MONT VERNON, N.H. —A stray goat has been recaptured in Mont Vernon after it escaped, police said Wednesday.
Mont Vernon police said Chief Kyle Aspinwall captured the goat Monday after a resident on Francestown Turnpike found it in the garage. Police said Aspinwall was nearly head-butted by the goat but was not injured.
A local resident agreed to hold the goat, but it escaped Tuesday, police said. Another resident was able to capture it and is holding it until its owner can be located.
Police said the black and brown goat does not have identification on it.
