When the forum first came back on after we were hacked, I had to answer yes or no if I wanted to delete the forum cookies each time that I came into the forum. Now that has stopped. I am glad. Anyone else?

How did this forum get fixed after being hacked? Did "forumotion" get involved to fix things?

Also how did you know it was hacked instead of just a problem with the software from the owner of "forumotion".

Usually when a site gets hacked you read about it somewhere on the internet. Also other "forumotion" sites will most likely have the same problem.

Maybe the Admin of this forum can shed some light on this subject.

Hopefully Admin. will chime in but from what he told me, yes, forumotion did get involved and they are the ones that told us there was no questiong it was hacked. Admin will tell you about resetting it or whatever he did.

Thank you.

I wonder why this little forum would be hacked? It almost seems like a waste of time for the hacker.

I think that someone with admin privileges played around with the admin panel and got screwed up.

He probably played around with the ban section and ended up in a real mess.

No, I don't think he did, but I will let him speak for himself. He doesn't like to play around much from what I gather, he thinks less interference is better.

Analyzing the membership here it looks like "outerlimits" and "Admin" are the same individual.

I could be wrong but the verbiage is similar.

Therefore this sight was probably hacked because I think that "outerlimits" probably has good knowledge of the control panel and wouldn't mess it up.

This is just a complete guess on my behave.

Please don't play games with me.

You know who runs this forum.

I am sorry. I am not playing games with you. Yes, I do know who runs the forum. I am just curious as to what connection you see between the too. NH will vouch that he and I like to play this game and see who sounds like who and why, and see if we can figure out who is now who and used to be who. (like on another forum) Don't mean to confuse with that sentence. Hope you can get what I am trying to say.

The connection has to do with dates and verbiage. I just happened to stumble on a post that sounded like the Admin.

It really doesn't matter and it's none of my business anyway.

Thanks for your comments. Very Happy
