Chicago or New York City—Which is the New Detroit?
Surprise, surprise.
"Chicago appears to be following Detroit's lead to financial disaster, perhaps the latest victim of decades of one-party rule by Democrats eager to redistribute wealth while driving real wealth creators out of cities.
Moody's Investors Service downgraded the Windy City's credit rating by three notches last week, partly the result of $19 billion in unfunded pension debt, leaving Chicago's lower than 90% of Moody's public finance ratings. Among the nation's five largest cities, Chicago has put aside the smallest portion of its looming pension obligations, according to a study issued this year by the Pew Charitable Trusts. The condition...

Not just Chicago, but with NY Gov. Cuomo's incredibly insensitive remarks last week, the flight of Capital from New York is imminent!
Judge by what we got out of Chicago:

Did you hear Hannity say he is leaving NY as soon as his son gets out of school?

Both of you should look into medication to counter gloom and doom!
New York City is running a surplus:
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/nyc-projected-larger-budget-surplus-173552123.html;_ylt=A0oG7to6999SVVEAkxNXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEzZDBlYWc1BHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMgRjb2xvA2FjMgR2dGlkA1NNRTI2Ml8x
New York State has had it's balanced budget come in on time every year since Cuomo took office.
The NYS Retirement System has assets of $160 billion, quite possibly the healthiest in the country.
Capital leaving New York? Surely you jest!
I don't think NY will miss Hannity!!!
I can't speak for Illinois. If the politicians out there have not been funding their retirement system properly, then shame on them!
Detroit will be back, with the help of the CEO of Quicken Loans. (who owns half the town)
Gloom and Doom!!!

No NY won't miss Hannity, but they might miss the taxes he pays as well as the taxes that Limbaugh paid before he left NY. If they are just the tip of the iceberg, eventually NY will miss those who pay taxes!!!

New York had a parade when Limbaugh left, and the state has no shortage of people who pay lots of taxes. You obviously don't know anything about New York! Obama won New York by at least 25%! I don't think they're going to miss the likes of Limbaugh or Hannity!!

New York's loss is Florida or Texas’ gain. Hopefully all the liberals left in New York get to pay even more taxes to make up for all the tax revenue Cuomo will drive out of the state.
Hannity total tax burden was 62%. Of more importance is the Governor telling him, the Roman Catholic Church, and those that support the 2nd amendment that they're not welcome in New York.
How big a deal would the news media make of it if the Governor of Texas said pro-choice, those that oppose the 2nd amendment and those support gay rights are not welcome in Texas?

I don't care where Limburger or insanity Hannity finally settle down, but they aren't welcome in NH.
Right Wing fanatics in general are weak and can't take what they dish out. An example is a forum member here who left because he couldn't take the heat but was good at dishing out comments about the Obama administration. They hit and run until they finally find a place with their own kind. Eventually there won't be any places to hide and they will be exiled.
Bon Voyage all you right wing fanatics...please don't come back!!!

It's happening all over the United States, right wing fanatics aren't welcome. You can believe it or not but the American people are sick and tired of these "fanatics" and eventually they won't have any place to hide...so as I said: "Bon Voyage" all you whiners.

I am always baffled by liberals who claim to be such open minded and tolerant people, but if you disagree with their political views you are somehow a bad person and have no place in society. As Achigan just demonstrated, he is not very tolerant or open minded at all.

Not really, I think there are a lot of good republicans who understand that it's a two way street and we need to get along. Right wing fanatics are just that, "fanatics". They take things to an extreme that just pushes people away from them.
There won't be any peace and harmony in this country as long as there are people like Limburger and Hannity.
Both of them along with Fox News are laughing at all of you while they cash their big checks and live their extravagant life style. It really is hard to believe that anyone could take these jokers seriously.
It's mostly the uneducated people who fall for their BS...IMO that is.

I hate to inform him, Outer, it works too ways. There are just as many people sick of the liberals. And there are also liberals who are fanatics and can only see THEIR way.

Another one with not a clue about New York!
The upper stratosphere of New York welcomes their taxes because they live in what they consider to be the best place in the world! They trip over each other to get their kids into schools like St John the Divine in Harlem and Horace Mann in the Bronx. They pay these schools $40 thousand a year to have their kids placed in kindergarten. Do some reading about the Upper East Side and The Hamptons and you'll find out that these folks won't be leaving NY anytime soon, no matter how much they pay in taxes.
Texas?

Exactly WHL,
There are fanatics on both sides and it’s hard to argue that Cuomo is not a far left fanatic.
Once again…
How big a deal would it be if Governor Rick Perry said those who support abortion, those that oppose the 2nd amendment and those support gay rights are not welcome in Texas?

I understand New York just fine thank-you and I remember New York’s not too distant past.
New York has been broke before. Liberal freaks ran it into the ground during the 70s and would have bankrupted the State had not US taxpayers bailed them out.
So as long as New York, or any other State, is under Democrat management you can be absolutely certain that it will eventually go bankrupt. It is the one thing Democrats do very well.

We're lucky that people like Achigan can't report the troop movements of our overseas military!

That's a statement with a very open mind! I guess you're going to tell me that the recession in NY in the 1970s had nothing to do with the world wide recession that resulted in high unemployment and high inflation in this country between 1973 and 1975. Folks of your cloth always like to blame Jimmy Carter, when in fact Richard Nixon was the President. I love how you guys are always re-writing history. Is that a college major for Republicans; re-writing history?
Obama just kicked Romney's ass 15 months ago and you still don't get it!! Are you some how going to re-write that election to make Romney the victor?

Besides New York, how many other states need to be bailed out during that time???
I have to ask you…
Since you are one of those 99%ers…
How is it that the liberal capital of the east is unaffordable to the middle class and poor? Considering 5% of the people pay a vast majority of the taxes that support entitlement programs, Cuomo’s attitude is not a good one to have. Nobody is asking anyone to bow down but Cuomo is literally biting the hand that feeds them.

They are busy trying to find more dirt on the George Washington Bridge. Maybe we should rename it to the Benghazi Bridge and the left would ignore it.
