Vintage Race Boat Regatta

Anybody know how the Vintage Race Boat Regatta is going?  Is today just the setup day or do they have boats on the lake also?

Think I'll go there tomorrow.

We are going tomorrow too. By boat. Hope it isn't too cold!!

It's a fun thing to go watch. If you want a real good view go watch the race on the Winnipesaukee Belle. If it's not too windy I think the even go to the inside of the race course. Enjoy!

Even in the rain, they got off a couple of races today.

Partly sunny, with a high near 68. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night

Mostly clear, with a low around 46. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

I was going to Wolfboro Saturday to get ice cream for the kids and my peaceful boat trip was shattered by the sound of loud boats going fast! So I stopped and enjoyed it, thanks to the race teams for the great show.

We went down and watched for a little while too, APS. The broads were a bit rough, we got a little wet, but it wasn't too bad. The races are fun to watch.

WHL, we saw it a few years back, this year looked to have less boats and as a result, less racing. It was still a good time, but wondering why it was lighter.

I agree, it seemed like less boats. We just went for a while and hit a break unfortunately, so we only saw a couple of races. Some people looked like they were camped out for the afternoon.

There were more airplanes and helicopters in the air—than boats on the lake.

The red baron was out for a while, it was fun to watch while no racing was going on.

Did anyone else hear that one of the racers had a heart attack so they called the races off?

No, did it happen during the race?

I don't know many details. He was a racer but I don't know if it happened while he was actually racing. I thought somebody on here might have heard something more.

My wife was at Dockside the whole day but didn't hear anything.

She forgot to change the batteries in her hearing aid.

Someone just told us that, so it might not be true. Just what we heard.
