Re: Cruz's filibuster
Cruz wants Republicans to vote against ending debate on a House-passed resolution that will fund the government into the new fiscal year because Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid, of Nevada, plans to strip out language that would have defunded the health care law.
"Voting to cut off debate is voting to allow the majority leader to gut the bill," Cruz said, referring to Reid's intent to remove the defunding language with an amendment.

I saw that. It was very impolite. Did you hear all the noise they made opening the doors to enter. How rude.

They waited to the last moment trying to distract from Cruz' closing statement. They ended up stepping on the last couple of words.

From Reid ...
“It has been interesting to watch, for a lack of a better way of describing this, it has been a big waste of time,”
“The government is set to shut down in a matter of hours — in just a few days government will close.”
Mr. Reid said the tea party and its congressional champions have bogged down the legislative process on Capitol Hill.
“Any day that government is hurt is a good day for them,” Mr. Reid said. ” It is, as I’ve said before, the new anarchy.”

Matthews @msnbc about Cruz ...
“He is a problem for our Republic,”
"... despite being a United States Senator, Cruz is not a legislator, nor is he allegedly a member of any political party."
“He has contempt for the American political system. He is not a member of any political party that I can tell,” he said. “His behavior has been totally and utterly destructive.”

Re: Cruz's filibuster
It's hard to believe folks would think this type of conduct is acceptable. Can you imagine someone acting like they do? It would not be acceptable! They would not be allowed to exhibit these types of unacceptable behavior and get away with it. Why do the leaders of our country condone these rude and unprofessional antics.

Re: Cruz's filibuster
Cruz finally came to his senses:
The Senate voted unanimously on Wednesday to move ahead on a spending plan needed to avoid a government shutdown next week, with Republicans, including Sen. Ted Cruz, unexpectedly reversing themselves after previously trying to block the measure over their objection to spending for Obamacare.

rand Paul on Cruz
On Wednesday, Paul praised the Cruz filibuster.
"I think it draws a lot of attention to a bad law," Paul said, "and we need to keep it up."

Re: Cruz's filibuster
McCain really slammed Cruz today.
What an embarrassment Cruz is to America.
He should go to Canada and live.

That may be your opinion, Casy. It certainly is not mine.
BTW, when I titled this thread, the title came up automatically (from another thread) and I didn't notice. Can that be changed?

That wasn't my demonization. I didn't write that, Chris Matthews from msnbc stated that on his show. I think he's on before al sharpton.

Usually we post something that we agree with unless we say that we don't. It just shows that you don't read what you post.fshnski wrote:That wasn't my demonization. I didn't write that, Chris Matthews from msnbc stated that on his show. I think he's on before al sharpton.
That was a good post though, something you aren't used to doing.
Take responsibility for what you post.
