Who's side is holder on?
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. will announce Monday the Justice Department is suing North Carolina over its new voting law, the latest effort by the Obama administration to intervene on behalf of minority voters after the Supreme Court struck down part of the Voting Rights Act.
Justice officials confirmed that Mr. Holder and the assistant U.S. attorneys from North Carolina will ask a federal court to block the state from enforcing four provisions of its voting law, including a photo identification requirement. The suit also seeks to reimpose a requirement that North Carolina obtain “preclearance” from the federal government before making any changes to its election laws.
The other disputed portions of the law are a shortened early voting period, from 17 days to 10; elimination of same-day voter registration during early voting periods; and new restrictions on the counting of certain provisional ballots. Republicans control the governorship and both houses of the states legislature in Raleigh for the first time in more than a century.

The Dems. of course. They think if someone is required to prove they are legal to vote, they (the Dems.) will lose the election.

How could anybody be against this law for any other reason than what WHL states? Why don't the Democrats take this time to help the persons in question who might need assistance get the photo ID. They have two years left to help them.
