Re: Site Down
That's very true. It is convenient though. And if you have more than one device or people that want to use the internet at once, it is nice. It does slow down, the more people that are on it. I like mine because I can take my computer outside.fshnski wrote:Every convenience we have electronically is just another opportunity they have to track our every move. They being who knows?

During summer, not enough of Wolfeboro residents are outside. (One reason I don't watch TV).WHL wrote:"...I like mine because I can take my computer outside..."
If your Wi-Fi doesn't carry very far outside, you can place the modem in a window and remove the window screen; otherwise, you can buy an inexpensive booster. A friend bought one, as the Wi-Fi signal didn't extend upstairs in the same house!
Re: Site Down
It is true, so many people are not outside in the summer. It amazes me. I think the majority of people in this country are now "indoor " people. When we were kids, we were NEVER inside.

Re: Site Down
I think you might be getting the Modem mixed up with the Router. The Router hooks to the Modem which gives you WiFi. You can put the Router in the window for more outside strength but putting the Modem there doesn't do anything.News Hawk wrote:During summer, not enough of Wolfeboro residents are outside.
