Obama is lying

Obama was on the campaign trail again Tuesday to warn of calamitous consequences for the U.S. economy should the automatic spending cuts known as the “sequester” go into effect next Friday.
Obama warned that the automatic cuts, totaling about $85 billion over the course of this year, would prompt job losses, weakened national security and canceled government services – among other consequences.
When Obama scaremongers about national parks closing, teachers, and first responders being laid off he is misstating the facts. The sequester will slice $44 billion off this year's budget, not $85 billion.
The $85 billion figure that gets bandied about overstates this year's cuts due to sequestration by about $40 billion. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) in its February 2013 report on the budget outlook,
It is important to note (just like every other spending cut in DC). They are not actually talking about spending cuts but cuts in spending increases. CBO figures that total spending in FY2013 will come to around $3.55 trillion or roughly the same as FY2012, when it came to $3.53 trillion.
Obama is lying through his teeth and the media repeats his lies. Now imagine if the media did its job and exposed Obama for lying, fraud, and scare tactics. He would be forced to do the right things and do what is best for this country. But of course we will never have an honest media and the liberals will always cover for people like Obama, even though most them know he is WRONG.
Let's take a look at what the Government is saying. According to the news today, the defense department is stating that if the sequester occurs that 800,000 civilian jobs would be lost to meet the sequester requirement.
OK so let's look at some numbers.
If the average annual salary for those 800,000 employees is $50,000, then that adds up to 40 billion. If the average is 100,000 then that number is 80 billion.
Obama says the sequester is 85 billion. Anyone else able to do the math and see the logic?
Add to that the constant threats to fire police, fire, teachers, as if those are the only people who work for Government, is nothing more than extortion.

The 2 biggest losers in the sequester are Texas and Virginia. We'll see how Rick Perry, Eric Cantor and the rest of the Tea Party like it when they take one on the chin. Maybe then we'll get lucky and Texas will finally secede from the Union! Don't let the door hit them in the a$$.

You got more money to spend. All because you proposed sequestration and now you want to back out of it.

The most important fact is that as outer said these are cuts in INCREASES not in the current budget.
I thought I would throw up when I had to listen to Oama give his little speech YET AGAIN about how the Republicans need to COMPROMISE or we will lost jobs etc. and that the rich should pay a "little" more. His idea of compromise is all HIS way, ANOTHER tax on the rich (right on the heels of the one a month ago on the rich) and NO spending cuts at all. That is his compromise-a NON compromise on his part.

Yesterday, 0bama proposed a $50 billion stimulus plan investing in infrastructure including highways, High speed rail and airports.

Liberals want to point fingers and assign blame instead of solving the problem. Your own post suggests you know the truth but you are more concerned with BLAME than truth.

It's odd how you compare recurring deficit reduction with a one shot stimulus, because it's like comparing apples and oranges. I don't see a problem with repairing roads and infrastructure, and you have to look no further than our own state to see a complete failure in maintenance. Fully one third of our roads are in poor condition and the state has had to close two dozen bridges over the last two years. That is just pathetic commentary for one of the wealthiest states in the Union!
The only thing I'm suggesting is the Republicans are going to take one on the chin if they don't do anything by next Friday. The Congress writes legislation, not Obama.

It's just another 50 Billion...nothing to be concerned with. 
It is NOT a recurring deficit reduction. Sequestration slows the increases in spending. Sequestration does not reduce the deficit and does nothing to pay down the debt.
According to the CBO:
If the sequester happens the total spending for FY2013 should be 3.55 trillion (200 billion increase over 2012)
FY2014: $3.6 trillion
FY2015: $3.8 trillion
FY2016: $4.0 trillion
The Obama propaganda machine is in full force, coupled with the help of the media, to put the entire blame on Republicans. It is a brilliant move if it wasn't so sad that it depends on the fact that majority of Americans generally are uninformed and ignorant while other will "go along" just to support the party.
The Republicans will not take it on the chin (unfortunately nobody will be held accountable until the debt buries our economy). Sequestration and its effects will be inconsequential. They are not serious cuts (they aren’t even a reduction in spending) and will largely be ignored by all.
All this does not change the fact that Obama is lying.
If you have a beef with the condition of the roads, maybe you should look in the direction of the individual that borrowed 800 billion in your name to fix them.

I have mixed feelings about the suggested gasoline tax and increased registration fees. While a gas tax is essentially an excise tax (charges the users) it will hurt the working class and the poorest among us as well as seniors on a fixed income. When you raise the price of fuel, you raise the price on all goods and services. Not to mention it would not help the economy.
As far as the increase on registrations…I just registered 2 vehicles and two trailers at cost of over $1300.00. I don’t know, but I think that was high enough.
Keep in mind…
If this proposal in Concord comes to fruition, NH stands to collect an extra billion in tax revenue. It certainly makes wonder what happend to the 800 billion already “invested”.
