I recall reading that the toxic "Red Tide" off New Orleans and Florida's Gulf Coast is generated by "nutrients" washing down the Mississippi River from fertilizing the ethanol crop. (Corn).

The "Red Tide" is a "Dead" Zone, periodically killing-off the fishing industry, while BP picks up the tab.

(Yet the Keystone Pipeline—the securest transport of fossil fuels—is being blocked).

Ethanol is awful stuff. And considering all the farmland it takes up, it is a big joke. We need to get rid of it period.
