Just wait until the next "terror" attack.
And it's not even going to be question of majoritarian rule.
It will just simply be "Rule by Dear Leader".
It won't matter who the Dear Leader is when it happens.

Mussolini would have loved Solyndra.
Didn't I just say that?
"The October bankruptcy of solar company Satcon Technology Corp. puts the number of bankrupt or troubled green energy companies as high as 50, according to one estimate.
During the first presidential debate, Republican candidate Mitt Romney said the Obama administration had doled out $90 billion to green energy companies, half of which he said had failed, which sparked a media-wide debate over the accuracy of the claim..."
—Daily Caller
Mussolini comparisons are everywhere, but I'll spare you this one time. Here's one that is more to the point:
'Course, the News Crows will have something nice to say about each of them.

How's that working out for you?

You set up a system where you steal a significant portion of the fruits of our labor, year after year, and then we're supposed to be happy when our Beneficent and Glorious Leaders bestow some of that back?
Stockholm called.
They want their Syndrome back.

Re: Lesson on Socialism
There will come a day when you will kiss the ground for Medicare, if you're not already there yet. Medicare will be the lifeline between you and personal bankruptcy, due to the obscene costs of healthcare in this country! You ire is always directed at government, rather than the corporations that gouge us!

Yes, it is, because at the end of the day, it was government regulation of the market during WWII that started this whole obscene mess.
It was wage and price controls that prompted employer paid "benefits" that created this ridiculous system where no market forces can be used to control prices, because you can't get a price.
Healthcare is the only commodity where you have no idea what it is going to cost going in.
No, I will never "kiss the ground" because, even if I do have to use it, or, more likely, am forced to use it, I will always know, in the back of my mind, that the only way this is being funded is by raping and robbing my fellow citizens and neighbors at gunpoint.
Now, some people are just fine with that, "all for me and f*ck the rest of you" but I am not.
It would leave me emotionally sick, if not physically sick.

Feel free not to sign up for Medicare and risk going broke. I guess you think it's OK to pay $10 thousand for an 8 hour visit to an emergency room. God forbid you or any of your family will need nursing home care in their lives. By then our small minded Republicans may have the whole Medicaid system in block grants. That's short for there will be no money for your loved one's nursing home care. You can babysit them yourself, even if they have alzheimers. That's what the Republicans want to do for you with their small government philosophy.

All I'm hearing is the support for a one-party system.
I'll ask once again, in the hopes that a direct answer will be forthcoming.

Where are the "checks and balances" in Obumble's Administration?
We get "edicts"!
“Now, legal plunder can be committed in an infinite number of ways.
Thus we have an infinite number of plans for organizing it: tariffs, protection, benefits, subsidies, encouragements, progressive taxation, public schools, guaranteed jobs, guaranteed profits, minimum wages, a right to relief, a right to the tools of labor, free credit, and so on, and so on. All these plans as a whole — with their common aim of legal plunder — constitute socialism.
— Frederic Bastiat, the Law, 1850

That last phrase is true: look at Venezuela!News Buzzard wrote:This country is really a Plutocracy where the majority of the wealth and power is in the hands of a few. Citizens United really helped that along. Anyone who thinks this is a socialist country doesn't have a clue what socialism is!
It begins, "We are Socialists..."
