Neither did I.
It seems as though this pollster has stopped asking the binary support/oppose question, on which the law has consistently been upside down by 12 to 25 points in virtually all polling. They're now giving respondents three options, asking whether they support the law and want it kept intact, whether they want to see changes to the law, or whether they favor full repeal. On that question, just six percent pick the first option. Half of respondents want changes, and 42 percent back full repeal. Some liberals may try to spin this into evidence of public support for the law, which couldn't be further from the truth. When offered the choice between maintaining the current law or scrapping it, repeal wins easily. A substantial majority would prefer to return to the pre-Obamacare system than continue under the new law as it exists. And super-majorities oppose the individual mandate tax, which is the tent pole of the law. Make that popular "change," and Obamacare collapses. Among the few popular elements of Obamacare are protecting people with pre-existing conditions and allowing "children" to remain on their parents' plans through age 26 -- both of which will certainly be preserved in an eventual Republican alternative to the law.

Re: 64% Say Obamacare Should Stay
Your poll also said that 50% of the respondents want changes made to the law, so 56% either want it kept intact or kept on the books with some changes. (as of Feb 27th) It's amazing how you twist things. The Republicans have proposed 3 housekeeping changes to Obamacare this past week, so they now must realize that Obamacare is here to stay, unlike you. What will it take, 50 more futile attempts at repeal before you give up? How much money are we wasting with these pitiful exercises in futility?
Get over it!

Actually, there were just six attempts.

So you think six attempts is less foolish than fifty?

Re: 64% Say Obamacare Should Stay
Whatever the number is…it’s not enough. This thing needs to go.
Obamacare is a disaster.
It was supposed to lower healthcare costs by $2,500 per family; it hasn’t.
It was supposed to streamline the system and eliminate waste; it hasn’t.
It was supposed to cost less than1 trillion. The CBO’s last estimate was almost 3 trillion.
People were supposed to be able to keep their doctor; they can’t.
People were supposed to be able to keep their insurance policy; they can’t.
Obamacare was supposed to insure the uninsured. At this point it has insured less than 10% of the previously uninsured.
IF the 5 million number is accurate (which I doubt), that is still less than the amount of people who lost their insurance when this disaster was rolled out. There are more people uninsured today than there were prior to October 1st 2013.
Obamacare proponents are calling victory? I think not.
Even the uninsured knows this does not work. That is why they are not signing up. Why would they take free health insurance that comes with deductibles and copays when they can get most of these services for free without it?
Why would the young and healthy people pay for insurance when they know they are subsidizing the old and sick people?
Why would any sane person be willing to exchange life prolonging care for free birth control and free wellness visits?
Obamacare is unworkable.

I'm always going to have coverage, WHL, because of my prior employment, and I really don't give much of a damn about end of life seminars. If that was true it just might be better for families to have that kind of planning in place. Thanks for wishing cancer on me!

Re: 64% Say Obamacare Should Stay
It might be better for some, but shouldn’t that choice be up to the person and their family?
Obamacare was sold with lies and bribes. So we now have a system that simply will not work in any form. A health system that requires insurers provide coverage despite a pre-existing condition, and really no obligation for healthy people to buy issuance until they get sick, is not a sustainable model.
The Democrats can’t find a plausible way to hang the failure of Obamacare on George W. Bush and the Republicans, so now they are pretending it is working.
If Obamacare was working, the President of the United States would not have been relegated to be the Country’s Insurance Salesman. There would be no need to delay parts of the law until after the elections.
We all know why they have been delayed and only a fool would buy what Obama is selling.

Nice try! Neither Obama nor Hillary will sign off on repealing it, and I'm not signing on to this fake hysteria. Five million people have already signed up and you don't stand a chance in the world of taking it away from them. That is the reality of the situation, whether you like it or not!

Five million people have signed up and TWO of them are not being subsidized. Outer is right. If it was so wonderful Obama wouldn't have to work so hard and spend so much of our money to promote it.

How many of those "5 million" have actually paid into the system—to make it work?
.
Re: 64% Say Obamacare Should Stay
Never mind. I stumbled on this myself:
Back in reality, the generally-accepted estimate of the nationwide non-payment rate is 20 percent -- meaning that one-fifth of the "newly enrollment" are not, in fact, enrolled. The administration "counts" anyone who's placed an Obamacare exchange plan in their virtual shopping cart as signed up.
Kathleen Sebelius again testified last week that HHS is not keeping track of who checks out and pays their first month's premium, which are necessary steps to becoming fully enrolled.

Re: 64% Say Obamacare Should Stay
The total number of people who have gained health insurance through Obamacare is closing in on 14 million! That includes the under age 26 on parent's policies, Medicaid expansion and Obamacare signups:

Re: 64% Say Obamacare Should Stay
14 million gained health care
PROVE IT!!!
You can’t
What?????...Adult children
No such animal…but keep inflating the stats like a good Obamabot.
Actually we have NO IDEA how many ARE insured.
Sibelius was asked a direct question last week at a Congressional hearing about how many HAVE PAID. She replied that SHE DID NOT KNOW.
The head of CMS has stated that the system to count the number of people who HAVE PAID has NOT been built yet.
So, ANY number the Obama admin puts out is total B.S.
Even IF we assume that the numbers are correct, considering that over 6 MILLION people LOST the insurance that they had, if 5 million have renewed that would mean NOT A SINGLE NEW person has signed up.
The CBO is projecting that 10 years from now we will still have 30 million uninsured Americans and that that number could be MUCH higher with immigration.
With a project cost of $2.7 trillion just for Obamacare and Medicare spending adding another $7.93 trillion. Medicare will cost almost 6 times as much while covering twice as many people as does now.
8 trillion dollars while only covering 52 million, with still 30 million uninsured, how can you say this is good?
Keep in mind, the highest estimation on newly covered is 27% with a low estimate of 10%. Even taking this at the high percentage (27), Obama is spending trillions to cover 1.1M people. That's about .33% of the US population.
Obama is an idiot

If Obama is an idiot, what does that make Mitt Romney?
I take the Washington Post report at it's word, and I'm going to assume that your children are not in that 21-26 age group, where they sometimes have a lapse in employment and health insurance.
The good news is Obamacare is here to stay!!! Get over it!

Re: 64% Say Obamacare Should Stay
You will take the word of anyone that praises Obama.
Well how about this:
O-Care premiums to skyrocket
http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/health-reform-implementation/201136-obamacare-premiums-are-about-to-skyrocket
This comes as the AP today reported a survey of major cancer hospitals which said that most are not covered under the ObamaCare coverage. If you get cancer, you will be forced to seek care at a local hospital from a general oncologist instead of a sub-specialist at a major cancer facility.
You will also be denied access to many of the devices and other protocols that are only available at these major regional, university based facilities. And you cannot just buy a better plan that includes it, in most cases, it just isn't available.
The House will not pass a bill for more funding. So what will happen? It will fall on its own. Obamacare is in a death-spiral and you are too blinded by ideology to see it.

Health industry officials say ObamaCare-related premiums will double in some parts of the country, countering claims recently made by the administration.
The expected rate hikes will be announced in the coming months amid an intense election year, when control of the Senate is up for grabs. The sticker shock would likely bolster the GOP’s prospects in November and hamper ObamaCare insurance enrollment efforts in 2015.

Meanwhile. the Republicans still don't have a plan. The only thing they're good at is criticizing Obama:

Re: 64% Say Obamacare Should Stay
And what is Obama’s plan to fix it?
Oh that’s right…his plan is to put off most of the negative aspects of the law until after the elections. Eventually the bill will come due on this disaster.
Obama and the Dems passed this mess without a single Republican vote. Now that we can all see (well most of us) that it simply can’t work, you are suggesting this is somehow the Republicans fault?
