It's The Friday Evening Fireworks...
It just started now.
What are they celebrating?
They're no longer trapped in Massachusetts for the next two days?

The fireworks will be back later today—even before dark.WHL wrote:The 4th??? Delayed response. I heard them but they didn't last very long.

I am sure you are right. My little pup is afraid of the wind and rain but the fireworks only scare her a little. Today when the little breeze came up she started shaking. Any one know a dog psychiatrist?

My new neighbors include a retired veterinarian.
I've heard recently that the reason dogs don't like to go out in the rain, is that the sound of rain scares them. It was only when my oldest dog went deaf, that he would go out into a rainstorm!
They've followed me to Florida, and fired-off fireworks to celebrate Christmas Day!

Family members had a long day, and went off to bed about 8-PM.
It's now 9:22-PM and renters nearby are celebrating the August 20th Holiday with fireworks.

I'd just recently learned that it's the sound of rain that bothers dogs.
As they age, and their hearing goes away, rain doesn't bother them so much.
