Beach Pond?
Published in 1960, a 300-page biological survey of lakes in three counties refers to Lower Beech Pond, and Upper Beech Pond in Carroll County.
The authors describe Lower Beech Pond as "Minimal shoal areas"—meaning no beaches?
Upper Beech Pond, Wolfeboro's reservoir, is described as "100% wooded", and connects to the "Beech River" (inlet). (Upper Beech Pond is "Closed to fishing", according to the authors).
On whose authority the name-change to Beach Pond?

Re: Beach Pond?
I see that our Community Phone Book has Hazardous Waste located on Beach Pond Road, while the Solid Waste Facility is located on Beech Pond Road.
Re: Beach Pond?
Oh that's funny. You should tell Lenny Moore that. He hates the beach spelling.
