BUT...the ice is still in motion with the wind. The Loon must face tomorrow for survival.

The Loon is calling out, as is normal when an eagle is in the vicinity. When I hear a daytime Loon calling, I search the skies—and more often than not, I'll catch sight of a Bald Eagle.

I am so glad. There is no question for me, I will take a loon over a bald eagle anytime.
