New scam.
CONCORD, N.H. —Three people were arrested Tuesday and charged in connection with a string of break-ins in Concord.
Police said the suspects hit several homes in the area until a woman noticed something unusual at her neighbor's house.
Police said Robert Cappella, 24, Brandon Seeley, 25, and Nicole Taylor, 39, took part in an organized string of home break-ins in the city's south end.
"This is a well-planned criminal enterprise," said Concord prosecutor Tracy Connelly. "They planned where they would go and why they would go there. It was predetermined who would do what, and those roles remained the same throughout all the burglaries."
Authorities said Cappella was the driver and chose the targets. Investigators said Seeley entered the homes while Taylor acted as lookout. Police said five homes were hit.
"They had a story in place, and they would approach a home, and if somebody was home, they would tell them they're looking for work, landscaping work, odds-and-ends jobs, and then they would just go away to the next house," said Lt. Timothy O'Malley.
Resident Tonya Laslie said she was home with her child when she noticed a suspicious car with a Massachusetts plate near her neighbor's house.
