Rice to replace Donilon as nat'l security adviser

Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, will replace Tom Donilon as President Barack Obama's national security adviser, a senior administration official told CNN.


Rice, the U.N. ambassador since January 2009, was a target of Republican criticism in recent months for her description to news talk shows of the September 2012 attack that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans in Benghazi.

She was Obama's national security adviser during his first presidential campaign. Before that, she was senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and, from 1997 to 2001, assistant U.S. secretary of state for African Affairs.

From 1995 to 1997, she was senior director for African affairs on the National Security Council.

Why would anybody criticize the Talking Points that were "doing the rounds"?

Once again…Obama thumbs his nose at the GOP and at the same time drops his trousers and moons the country as a whole.

We all know this is the pay-off for getting her hands dirty and relaying the lies about Benghazi. I just want to know who the real advisor is going to be. You know…the one that will feed her the proper talking points in her new job.

Yes, and since the Senate does not need to confirm this post, she won't be asked any questions about Benghazi.

Yes, I heard Obama had promised her a promotion. Well, she's a team player, willing to lie and cheat for him, so why wouldn't he promote her? That's the kind of administration he runs.
