SALEM, N.H. —A Hooksett man was arrested Thursday afternoon for indecent exposure after police said the auto technician exposed himself in a customer’s car while on break.
Police were called by an anonymous tipster who saw a man, 44, parked in a large lot off of South Broadway in Salem. The caller said she saw him inappropriately touching himself in a black Hyundai Sonata registered in Massachusetts.
When police arrived, an officer found him inside the car with the fly of his pants down. He told police he was using a customer’s vehicle while he was on break.
He was arrested on two misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure. was released on $500 cash bail and will be arraigned at the 10th Circuit Court on Aug. 5.
Police said he has been arrested two previous times in Massachusetts -- once in Billerica in 1996 and again in Boston in 1998. Both times were for open and gross lewdness.
