1) NOBODY has yet brought up the insurance-coverage LACK with Winnipesaukee's infamous hit-and-run boat crash.

2) In that line of thought—Ever asked a tree-trimmer to bring proof of insurance to your tree-cutting job? 

"Oh yes, we have it—it's available from our agent."

WE are all very stupid if we don't ask for it every time somebody does something on our property.  But you feel funny doing it.  Your insurance agent will tell you it's a must though.

One's boating "insurance" is dependent upon whether you broke the law or not.
