I assume he means Marriott's. That is generally what we call the compound. Still don't know why the flag is at half staff.

We went by in the boat today and the flag is still at half mast. BUT, it is at Brophy's not at the Marriott's, NH.

I'll have to go back to look, but couldn't I have seen the Senior Marriott stroll casually out of that house a couple of years ago? Is the Brophy family in-laws to the Marriotts—or something?

No, they aren't relatives as far as I know. The old story is that Brophy was the atty. for the first Senior Marriott- JW got him to come here in the first place. Then the Marriotts wanted to buy that place but the Brophys wouldn't sell. And that's all I can remember about that.
