It appears a flashing buoy has been struck overnight, as it is floating past me right now—at 08:04.

I'm not likely to go out today (too much wind). When you get a chance, see if one is missing!

Ok, I will go out a bit later and see if our flashing buoy is missing.

It's been pretty chilly and windy, I wouldn't blame you if you stayed in.

I decided to torture myself, and call the NHMP about the errant navigation flasher: once again, I was greeted with an "Our options have changed" menu.

"If this is an emergency, call 9-1-1; otherwise, if you know your party's extension, you can dial it now."

After hearing my "complaint", the dispatcher insisted on getting my name and address. I told him that "I gave you my telephone number—you can 'reverse-white-page' that".

It is not the lighted buoy by Wingate's which I think is the only one, right?

That would be correct.

I'm really glad there's a flasher there—and at #19—there's huge boulders close to the surface, that pose a threat to large and small craft.

It appears the next likely missing flasher would be that #19.

New question:

The NHMP's single-outboard boat came directly into Winter Harbor, navigated away from me, as though "on a call", and stayed away about 45 minutes. Anything going on?
