A horse shit law!

ALLENSTOWN, N.H. —The state may soon be asking horseback riders on public trails and lands to clean up manure from their horses, and that concept is being met with disbelief among equestrians.

Kathy Turnbull, the owner of Bear Brook Stables, says mandating that riders dismount and let go of the reins on a rugged trail to pick up manure is asking for trouble.

“I was shocked, frankly. When I heard about it at first I thought, 'This is crazy,'” said Turnbull. "It's not safe to ask people to do that, and a lot of the riders are not 16 anymore -- a lot of the riders are seniors."

Liz Gesler, a trainer and riding instructor in Orford, said strict enforcement of the rule could effectively close off state lands to horseback riding.

It's hard to believe that there is a real live person that thinks time should be wasted on something like this poo.

It's hard to believe that there are a lot of people who get paid to sit in gov. offices and think up all kinds of rules and regulations. And WE PAY them!

We need to use common sense!

Not many people know what that is any more.

I think that it's a good law. Why should people have to step in horse poop when they walk the trail?
Get off your horse and push the stuff off the trail, what's so hard about that?

Put a horsie diaper on your horse.

Horse diapers are required for New York City's horse-drawn cabs.

 

Why are Moose exempted from this law?



Someone should be following them with a shovel--no poop for you or me!

And what about bear and deer and those pesky little racoons or whatever come in my yard almost every night and leave their droppings.
