Would you do this?

Would you purposely use a forum name that you know is being used by another person? How about if a name is chosen because it is similar to another members forum name? I would not do that. What about you? Why would somebody do that? Do you think that is ethical or does that not matter to you?

Should I be flattered? Was my forum name fair game? Why would somebody do this?

… News Hawk was the first to use "news" in his forum name and shortly there after a newsbuzzard and a newspigeon and a news condor joined. I'm sure it is just a coincidence. What's even more interesting is the fact that they all joined at the same time. HUM. I'm sure it doesn't add up to anything.

It is a good name by golly. That was the name I gave my first boat in 1985. I called her the Achigan. She's named after a fish. I'm surprised that somebody else knew that. When I became a professional fishing guide I had to register that name with the state. Who could have thought that somebody, one day would try to use that name Achigan against me.

Do you think this is fair?

Notice how the fake achigan ignores and keeps spewing poo poo. They are an embarrassment to the Algonquin Indians. That just goes to show you, never try to be what you cannot.

I agree with you fsh, it was not a mistake nor a coincidence. Nor was it a coincidence that after NH picked his name the New's copied him. There is no doubt about it. Maybe Achigan would be nice enough to change his name. After all I don't believe it was the first forum name he used. I will discuss this name thing with Admin.

Achigan, would you be willing to change your forum name since it was fsh's and he is very upset that you are using it? If you would, it would make things much easier.

I really don't know who had the name first but since you are part of the "news" crowd who all mimicked News Hawk, I tend to believe you were copying fsh. And since fsh's boat was named Achigan, I think it was his name. So could we just solve it, Achigan, by changing your name? You change your names a lot anyway, is it such a big deal for you? And I appreciate your playing nice.

Why should a member change his forum name after being permitted to make over 500 posts using that name? Why did it take so long for the complaining person to make his complaint?

Good point NB. WHL is deleting a lot of my posts out of spite towards me. I didn't say anything wrong, she just deletes them because it tells the truth and she can't handle that.

My question is why didn't fsh use "Achigan" in the first place? When I first signed on I got the OK to start posting. Now I need to change my name.

I just don't get it????
