Not buying any of that. Brown might just have trouble winning the primary, and if he does I doubt he'll beat Shaheen. The last poll had her up by 13 points. The seat in Florida has been held by the Republicans for decades so I don't count that loss as being a result of Obamacare, and whatever gound the Democrats lose this November they'll win back in 2016, because a lot more Republicans than Democrats will be on the bubble that year, including Ayotte. That little commercial with her jogging around and promising us that she'll cut our taxes and wasteful spending won't do it for her next time. And finally, Hillary is up by double digits over everybody and the Republican field is not too promising, so I'm thinking 2 terms for the first woman to be president!
Don't look past Mitch McConnell! He might just be retired in January!!

Ayotte disappointed me. She started out great, but quickly buckled to the Dems and the media.

I see it as she (Dowd) does:
"Obama’s approval ratings will shape the midterms..."
.
Re: Dowd says Dems in distress
The mid-terms are not that big a deal. We have a congress that is doing nothing now, and if the Republicans take over the Senate we'll still have a congress that is doing nothing! Have you ever heard of the filibuster or the presidential veto? The Republicans have worn out the filibuster, so it's only fair that they should be on the receiving end of such obstruction! The Tea Party Republicans who were elected in 2010 will then be on deck in 2016, and the Tea Party is on the downhill slope!

Vetoes can be over-ridden.
What do you call Senator Barbara Boxer's all-nighter?
"Sen. Barbara Boxer will join more than two dozen Democrats Monday night in an all-night Senate talk-a-thon to bring attention to climate change. The action is part of a strategy that Boxer outlined earlier this year to push back against climate-change deniers and raise public visibility of the issue in hopes of forcing Congress to pass legislation aimed at reducing carbon-dioxide emissions."
That's NOT a filibuster?

Really? Do you expect the Republicans to pick up 22 seats in the Senate?
You're all looking past Kentucky and Georgia, where Democrats may pick up the seats!

Nobody knows how many seats will be won or lost—but not all Senate Democrats are on board "The Obama Train-Wreck".
