Re: The New GOP Scam
Dynamic scoring is not new and it is not a scam.
Dynamic scoring is simply the process of looking at a particular tax change and asking what the Laffer effects of that tax change would be.
Dynamic scoring is a technique that many other countries and successful business use.
The extreme interpretation (used by Krugman for political gain) is that all tax cuts pay for themselves through increased economic growth. That is of course not true and is rightly derided as voodoo economics.
That is NOT what Ryan was talking about.
Ryan does not assume a payoff but a balance from the right tax cuts and revenue. Ryan identifies the benefit of a more reality based modeling technique over the current static models.
All of this is once again twisted by some on the left to be something quite different than it is.

Re: The New GOP Scam
Kansas’ tax cuts have been in place for 18 months. That is hardly enough time to make a determination of fundamental tax reform. Obama has been running the show for nearly 6 years and we are still waiting.
If Krugman realistically believes that 18 months is the appropriate timeline to judge fundamental tax reform, he is the one living in Oz, not tax reformers.
Kansas’ economy has indeed improved since the tax cuts, particularly relative comparable states in the region.
Back to the subject.
I am not a fan of Ryan’s budgets as they increase spending and don’t ever seem to balance for 10-20 years in the future (I would think you would like that). Paul Ryan is at least attempting to start dialog about tax reform, the status quo is not working.

Kansas is going broke! They're starving their school districts and burning through their surplus at an alarming rate!!

Ryan and Romney were running around the country telling us that they were going to cut everyone's taxes by 20% and make it revenue neutral, but they never said how. The right wingers are a 1 trick pony. Their whole game plan is to cut taxes for the rich and the rest of the country can go to hell in a handbasket!! That's not a sustainable strategy in the long term, and that's what they're now finding out in Kansas!!

Wait....what???? Now we are back to campaign 2012?
With the current state of the economy, labor, impending Obamacare rate hikes, Sgt. Bergdahl’s report, this administrations botched policies and response to Ebola, the failure of Obama’s bombing campaign on ISIS, the fact that Republicans will in all likelihood gain an historic number of seats in the House as well as take control of the Senate, and the fact they announced today that they did find WMDs in Iraq...
I can understand why you want to look back at 2012.

Re: The New GOP Scam
Diversion to right wing hogwash is one of your favorite tactics, not to mention we have an absentee congress. Nothing will change if the Republicans take the Senate. It will be just more of the same do-nothing congress, bought and paid for by the Koch brothers.
Meanwhile, Kansas is still broke, thanks to a right wing governor!

"Diversion to right wing hogwash is one of your favorite tactics"
Obama and the progressives in this country have spent the better part of 6 years focusing on campaigning in a pathetic attempt to transform this country into a one party system. No President has ever dedicated this amount of time and tax payer dollars on campaigning and fundraising.
I have been around long enough to hear both parties claim the other would never again take the Whitehouse. It was hogwash then and hogwash now.
The progressives have invested all of their time and political capital chasing fairy tales like "global warming" and "war on women" while inventing boogiemen like "the Koch Brothers” and “the 1%ers”. They passed laws and executive orders that are so unpopular making it necessary to defend and reframe their arguments, sometimes for years. They have had failure after failure and blamed everyone else while holding nobody accountable.
They have spent so much time and effort on political foolishness instead of protecting this country from real enemies and issues.

Re: The New GOP Scam
The good news, Outerlimits, is that the ship has sailed on your premeditated effort to get rid of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and Obamacare. It was a nice try though, but you lost, just like Romney twice!! Those are Obama's biggest victories!!!!
