The uninsured rate of adults dropped form 20.3% to 13.2%!! That represents a 35% rate of reduction of people who are uninsured!! Very Happy

Since when can we limit the amount of damages one is awarded in any lawsuit? My point:

Obamacare was supposed to lower the cost of healthcare and remain revenue neutral. It was not supposed to be welfare. If Obama and the Democrats tried to pass this thing as a new welfare entitlement it would NEVER have passed.

I don't single out Obamacare to bash subsidies. I regularly bash Medicare and Medicaid. The very existence of Medicare and Medicaid should be enough evidence Obamacare should have never seen the light of day.

That's where we part ways. Medicare has been working very well for 50 years and gives seniors the comfort that they will have health coverage in their golden years. Medicaid will prevent families from fiscal ruin if a member of their family needs nursing home care, such as in Alzheimers, and Obamacare gives those who are less fortunate the ability to purchase health insurance. The House Republicans released their joke of a budget that eliminates Obamacare and Medicare for everyone under the age of 56, but that will never see the light of day.

Its a very difficult point to argue when we don't know where the numbers will wind up. We've only been through two enrollment cycles, and despite the fact that 16.4 million more people have health insurance the Republicans never wanted to give it a chance from day 1. It's all about crushing Obama's signature legislation to them, not about the millions more who can get health insurance. I am disappointed in Obamacare because I think every citizen of this country should have healthcare, single payer type, but that will never happen with the infusion of big money into politics.
