Prosecutors want staggered prison terms for Jacksons

WASHINGTON -- Casting Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife, Sandi, as well-paid public officials who stole large amounts of campaign cash out of "greed and entitlement," prosecutors Friday urged that she be sent to prison first, for 18 months, and he next, for four years.
Jackson Jr., 48, a former congressman, and Sandi, 49, a former Chicago alderman, spent about $750,000 in campaign money on extravagances like furs and collectibles and ordinary things like dry cleaning and groceries.
They will be sentenced July 3.
