Disability keeps growing.

Answer:

"Boy are you wrong! SSD recipients do pay for their health insurance. It is not free. It’s deducted from their SSD check. And there are no other benefits. And SSD recipients can work, are encouraged to work, if they can."

Have to love that kind of thinking. Guess they work for those benefits.

It sounded like a good idea at the time...



Lawyers are putting their losing clients on disability—I've seen it happen for "stress" cases.

I don't know what the answer is. There are truly people who need help but this is getting a little or a lot out of hand. I think what the gov. needs to do is consider helping those who can not go out into the regular workforce because of a bad back or nervous problem, or whatever, find a job that they are able to do.

With women going onto "disability" at a greater rate than men, this graph shows the emphasis placed on "the womens vote" by Obama:

"Don't mess with my bennies!"

I just read this a minute ago:

Another, that agrees with me:

I realize that there are some people who really are disabled, and should be on disability, but there are many more that should not be. I guess this is another scam that can be attributed to the noble legal profession. These folks make up the majority in Congress, which explains a lot.

It's true. Lawyers sure haven't helped this country! Maybe people should have to re apply for SSD every year. The problem is, once on, it is a lifetime gift for a lot of people

In Britain, 900,000 choose to come off sickness benefit ahead of tests.

"As well as the 878,300 who chose to drop their claims, another 837,000 who did take the a medical test were found to be fit to work immediately, while a further 367,300 were judged able to some level of work.

Only 232,000 (one in eight of those tested) were classified by doctors to be too ill to do any sort of job.

So, 878k bailed without taking the test, and another 1.4 million people were tested, with 232k found truly unable..."
