The Ebola Delerium - Page 2 Empty ...To Freeze the Elections?

Post  News Hawk Sun Oct 19, 2014 7:16 pm

News Buzzard wrote:That's Full Throttle Demagoguery at it's best!!! The Republicans are on the anti-Obama campaign because they don't have an original idea in their heads! The Republicans will drop the Ebola delirium as soon as the election is over.

I'm very concerned about notion that Obama has the "Original Idea" to flood our system!

Is Obama Planning to Flood the System With Foreign Ebola Patients?

As if the last few weeks have not been crazy enough.

First we learned that a Liberian national who landed in Dallas had tested positive for Ebola. We then witnessed a comedy of errors as workers and authorities tried to deal with "patient zero." Shortly after we learned that not just one, but two nurses who treated Thomas Duncan had also been stricken with Ebola. Now we are hearing from Judicial Watch that Barack Obama is planning to bring more Ebola patients to America… on purpose. Maybe that is why he won't ban air travel to and from infected areas.

Judicial Watch released this report on Friday:

Washington, DC – Judicial Watch has learned that the Obama administration is actively formulating plans to admit Ebola-infected non-U.S. citizens into the United States for treatment. Specifically, the goal of the administration is to bring Ebola patients into the United States for treatment within the first days of diagnosis. It is unclear who would bear the high costs of transporting and treating non-citizen Ebola patients. The plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.

One source tells us that the Obama administration is keeping this plan secret from Congress. The source is concerned that the proposal is illegal; endangers the public health and welfare; and should require the approval of Congress.

If Obama is really trying to destroy America, this might speed up the process. We have learned this week that the 21 day incubation period is not accurate. We have learned that there were no protocols in place for nurses to follow and that many hospitals may not be able to afford upgrading their facilities to prepare for Ebola.

News Buzzard wrote:The sequester was nothing more than the consequence of Republican coercion in 2011. That's when they threatened not to pay our bills by not raising the debt ceiling! It will be much more painful next year, especially in the Pentagon budget, if the Republicans don't wake up. Once again the right wingers are re-writing history. No surprise there.  Rolling Eyes

"According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, in January the CDC won in the budget deal. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will see an 8.2 percent budget increase for fiscal 2014, thanks to a $1.1 trillion spending bill announced by Congress Jan. 13. But not just that. There was also this nugget of news: This influx of cash will raise the CDC budget to $6.9 billion, which is $567 million more than it received in 2013. This is more than the agency anticipated, because the president’s fiscal year 2014 budget request for it was just $6.6 billion."

Liberian woman escapes Ebola outbreak, quarantines herself.

"Jennifer Philips has been in America only three days, and she's already calling it home.

The 21-year-old left Liberia last week and with it childhood memories of civil war and, more recently, horrific images of dead bodies in the street from the worst ever outbreak of Ebola.

Her father, Barhyeau Philips, welcomed her Saturday at the Quad-City International Airport and brought her to his Rock Island home.

"I'm here to live," she told the Quad-City Times on Monday.

After waiting four years for a visa, Jennifer's journey began Friday at the airport in Monrovia, the Liberian capital. From there she traveled to Brussels, New York and Chicago before flying into the Quad-Cities."

scratch

It’s the fault of those mean Republican budget cuts.

The CDC had the cash to pay out $25 million in bonuses, but it just couldn’t put the money together to write up guidelines telling hospitals that nurses should have no exposed skin when treating Ebola patients.

Will the Republican budget cutting madness never stop?

"U.S. taxpayers gave $6 billion in salaries and $25 million in bonuses to an elite corps of health care specialists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since 2007, according to data compiled by American Transparency’s OpenTheBooks.com

If the weather prognosticator says a good sized hurricane is coming your way, do you prepare? Regardless of hype? I prep for blizzards here even though they often do not come to (over-hyped) fruition.

It strikes me as being very strange that this is a political debate. The liberals think Ebola is not big deal and the conservatives are worried. Why?????? If O wasn't president I bet the liberals would think it was terrible and the conservatives wouldn't probably say anything.

Harvard University has imposed an effective travel ban on Ebola-striken countries, requiring students, faculty, and staff to obtain official permission from the university administration before traveling to affected parts of West Africa, and staying off campus for 21 days after returning to the U.S. from those countries.

Maybe we should just impose a No Fly Zone over the entire continent of Africa. Where are John McCain and Lindsey Graham when you need them? They can usually be found foaming at the mouth in front of a TV camera!!!    affraid

If the computer models are all in agreement that the "big one" is coming directly at us, then it's not hype and I prepare....but the level of hype/hysteria is unbelievable if you aren't smart enough to sift through the facts.
Ebola is not an epidemic in this country and will likely not become one due to our higher level of hygiene....the only epidemic surrounding Ebola in the USA is manufactured by the media and politicians hell-bent on making this president look bad...

Then there is a plethora of bad info. In today's Boston Globe, there is a story about head to toe gowning for anyone with Ebola like symptoms. IMO the Symptoms are similar to the run of the mill Flu:
"Ebola symptoms:

- Fever (greater than 38.6°C or 101.5°F)

- Severe headache

- Muscle pain

- Weakness

- Diarrhea

- Vomiting

- Abdominal (stomach) pain

- Unexplained hemorrhage (bleeding or bruising)"

This President has done a wonderful job of making himself look bad with little or no help needed from the media.

I agree!

It is my opinion, but it is one shared by many left leaning pundits (that I listen to often) such as Mark Thompson, Ari Rabib-Havt, Thom Hartmann and Mike Signorelli (I may have murdered the spelling of their names). Each one of them regularly has to admit the opportunities wasted by this President.
