We've had a few wake restrictions in recent years, when oversized wakes can cause docks to dislodge and/or float off their pilings / cribs. Taking videos of those ignorant- and scofflaw- boaters would be exhausting.
That boat hasn't been seen towing a tube, surfer, or skier.red_hill wrote:I did not realize there was a wake size restriction in Winter Harbor?? You must love the big beauty docked at the end of the Harbor!!
There are too-few considerate visitors, but most locals with oversized boats recognize their legal liability of wake damage to property (and lives).

It's like guns. It's all about the owner or driver is it not?

The entire lake was under one years ago. There certainly was not one when Voyeur Bob decided to video a family having fun. Maybe you have other motives.News Hawk wrote:red_hill wrote:I did not realize there was a wake size restriction in Winter Harbor??

Odd that if there were A FEW WAKE RESTRICTIONS there are no published articles to back up the statement.It's-Not-News-Hawk wrote:

As Red_Hill stated, there was ONE LAKE WIDE NO WAKE RESTRICTION almost 30 years ago...the ONLY ONE in my memory, and that was because of extreme high water not "oversized" 25 foot bowriders pulling the kids on tubes.
There is only one area where there is a wake restriction in Winter Harbor....another case of It's-Not-News-Hawk repeatedly posting something and hoping people believe him....
That is a small area near Flasher #15Winter Harbor from the southern boundary of the Tuftonboro tax map 63, lot No. 14 to the southern boundary of tax map 51, lot No. 20.

NH is right. There were two no wake restrictions rather close together in years.

One was during bike week a good few years back- but it certainly was not restricted to WH.WHL wrote:NH is right. There were two no wake restrictions rather close together in years.

Oh no. They were lake wide. One ended about the3rd of July. Everybody was worried that it would hurt the 4th.

Re: Any violations here?
I finally did find reference to the one in 2006 however it appears it was voluntary, not mandatory, the one in the 80's was mandatory.

There were two mandatory ones. I believe they were pretty close together in years. Hunt a little harder.

Re: Any violations here?
It really doesn't matter because as you correctly pointed out, they were lake wide, not exclusive to WH. Outside of the small NWZ near the #15, there is not a NWZ in WH so INNH complaints are just more of the same.

Docking in Wolfeboro in 2005 would get your shoes wet:
