Yeah but now the heat is going and the cooler fallish air is returning and I don't like that. Crying or Very sad

Do you think it would be hot-well, very warm- there all the time? I don't think so.

95 and sunny here everyday (until 3 pm then it rains for 2 hours) then back to high 80s until bed. My Jacuzzi tub is great on evenings like this.

I've been to New Orleans around this time of year. The temperature was tickling 100 degrees and the humidity was in the mid 90s. I couldn't imagine dealing with that for month after month.

Surprisingly even though Fort Myers is farther south, since it is on the coast the temp. stays relatively steady. Drive 50 miles inland with no gulf breeze it is much hotter or at least it feels that way.

It is again all relative. The first month I was here I sweat like there was no tomorrow. Now I barely notice it. When it gets down into the 70's it is actually chilly..

The part that took some getting used to (or still is on going) is two events:

1. getting into your car after sitting out in the sun all day. Yikes! Luckily due to the cold up north I had a remote starter installed. I used to use it to warm the car now it is cooling it.
2. still not used to this but I have been told I may never either is running. I have been running in events and am doing another 1/2 marathon come January. I used to go out for my lunch break or run during the mid mornings back in NH. NO WAY! If you are not out the door by 6 AM latest you are not running outside. I had to breakdown and get a treadmill. I am not a fan of treadmills in the least, however it is the only way to keep in shape. Hopefully when the dryer air returns in mid October I can get outside again.

On a typical day is it, AC to AC? Not much time spent outdoors? During the week that is.

Working from home I am in AC. However I still walk everyday to drop off and pick up my son. (the school is only 1/3 a mile away)

Also once I am wrapped up we usually are in the pool.

So overall it is similar to the winter there except that I would never go outside up north if I could avoid it. Here when it is 95 degrees on a Saturday we are at the beach or on the boat until noon then home in the AC and back to the pool. Would rather do that then be stuck inside due to the cold. Again this is my personal preference. I know many people love the cold, skating, sledding, snow shoeing etc.. Just not something I enjoyed at all. Now it is definitely muggy here which took some getting used to but as I tell people when they complain: "you don't have to shovel it!" Cool

I love the heat and humidity, but I think I would get sick of it in Fl. in the summer. I wouldn't want to have to stay inside all the time.

Today was warm, and extremely quiet on the lake.

Forty per cent chance of Rain kept people away.

You just learn to plan your outdoor activities in the morning or evening... Not the best to be out mowing your lawn between 11-3... But I would rather have 4 hours to avoid outdoors than 4 months of sub-freezing temps...

FREEZING! :-)

I hear it only gets down that low in Jan / Feb nights here. And even that is uncommon..

Just purchased a commercial grade pool heater...... My 86 degree pool is fine for swimming but a bit chilly at nights in the Jacuzzi... Will have her at 102 this weekend!

Oh no, fsh. Don't tell me that!

Why does the lake feel warm when it's 80 but a pool feels cold when it's 80? At least to me it does.

I like the Keys less now. I didn't know that they allowed racist carpetbaggers.
