Surprise in the Mail?

Post  News Hawk on Mon Oct 20, 2014 11:04 am

Email from a friend of a friend:

Did you receive your Medicare Handbook for 2015 yesterday? If you have already received yours in the mail, please turn to page 12 and go down to the bottom of the page and read “Find out what you pay for Medicare (Part A and Part B). It states that the premium and deductible amounts were not available at the time of printing. It further states you may call 1-800-633-4227 to get the most up to date info.

I did just that and talked with a Medicare representative. She told me that they probably would not have those figures in until the end of the first week or possible the second week of November.

Now, let that sink in…

Laughing Oh, you mean your friend Glen Beck.....GAWD YOU PEOPLE ARE SO EASILY CONNED!

Fact: 2015 Medicare Part B premiums and deductibles to remain the same as last two years
http://www.hhs.gov/news/press/2014pres/10/20141009a.html

“Thanks to slower health care cost growth within Medicare since the passage of the Affordable Care Act, next year’s Medicare Part B monthly premium will remain unchanged for the second consecutive year,” said Secretary Burwell. “The Affordable Care Act is working to improve affordability and access to quality care for seniors and people with disabilities.”

“The stabilization of Part B premiums is another example of how we are containing health care costs to provide a more sustainable and affordable health delivery system. The Administration has taken important steps to improve the quality of care while keeping the cost of Medicare premiums and deductibles the same,” said CMS Administrator Marilyn Tavenner. “This means even greater financial and health security for our seniors next year as their premiums will remain unchanged.”

There is a slight difference between someone who paid in to Medicare his whole life, probably paid the maximum amount and then getting something out of it when he retires, than taking Obamacare while others pay for that which one never contributed- ever!! And please stop the name calling.

It's not "name-calling" , it's fact!!!
He bitches about the "takers' when he himself is guilty of playing the system....ask him where he considers his "home" to be! Ask him if he gets a government retirement! Ask him if he gets any assistance from a government agency!!

I know where he considers his home to be. Why do you have a problem with that? And if he worked for the government, why don't you think he has a right to a pension. Everybody I know that worked for the government get a pension. I thought you liked pensions? Only if Republicans are getting a pension? Is that is? As for assistance, I have no idea if he gets any, but if he does why is it any different that anybody else getting it? If he is within the rules for any of these things, why do you have such a problem with it? I think we need to get this straight once and for all and then stop spouting off about it. Enough is enough. You have said it about 50 times.

You miss the entire point of my objections. HE is the one bitching about people getting all of these "perks", while HE himself enjoys many of them...that's a hypocrite!!!!! and I will continue to point out the hypocrisy when I see it.....
It's hypocritical to complain about people not paying taxes, when he claims to live in Florida but only spends the winters here, that's not what we consider a citizen of the Keys, he's a snowbird who scams the system to get lower taxes on his house. I question if he really does spend the required amount of time (6mo + 1 day) to qualify for his homestead exemption, as he has stated previously that he doesn't stay the required time. I also have a problem with people who come here and could care less about the community, they only care about their comforts and how they can get "more" bang for their buck while squatting here. He has posted unbelievable lies about people/incidents that he imagined to have happened, that's not the kind of people we want clogging our highways/businesses. Contribute or stay home......

Well, since you don't know, then why don't you just not mention it again. I don't follow him around but I do believe he spends the required amount of time here so drop it. Don't make things up. He has a much right to live in Fl as you do.

The healthcare I earned for my military service was deleted by Obama in 2009; since scrapping my benefits—the Veterans Administration has landed on even worse management!

We know where the US military stands with Obama.

My military Dad has suffered within a military healthcare program called, "Tri-Care for Life". He's now considered an ordinary "federal employee" regardless of the merits of his long US Navy service. He only retired from "Fleet-Reserve" recently.

Tricare pharmacy co-payments would increase to more closely match federal employee benefits under the Obama plan. A White House fact sheet says the changes would not apply to active-duty members, but would apply to all active-duty family members and all retirees, regardless of age.

As for Medicare, ONE Florida county still accounts for $2+ Billion in Medicare fraud—annually. What will become of Government-sponsored Obamacare in the same county next year?

Just like Ebola, ObamaCare returns as an Election Albatross.

This whole country is steering towards Detroit!

Evil or Very Mad

NH, again, the fraud is proving that our government problem is management. But due to it's size, I am afraid there is no hope for it ever being managed properly.

12 charged in Chicago as part of national Medicare fraud takedown

Twelve Chicago area medical professionals have been charged as part of a nationwide Medicare fraud takedown by the U.S. attorney’s office.

The nationwide takedown by the Medicare Fraud Strike Force operated in 17 districts and resulted in charges against 243 people.

According to prosecutors, the takedown is the largest in strike force history in terms of the loss amount, $712 million, and the number of defendants charged.

Still only one-third of what one Florida County (with an extremely high percentage of foreigners) steal from the US Treasury every year.

No
