The law isn't making things cost less. The CBO is saying we may spend less because people aren't signing up. That's not a victory. It’s a symptom of a failed law.

Once upon a time a man appeared in a village and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10 each.

The villagers, seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at $10 and, as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their effort.

He next announced that he would now buy monkeys at $20 each. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms.

The offer increased to $25 each and the supply of monkeys became so scarce it was an effort to even find a monkey, let alone catch it! The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $50 each!

However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would buy on his behalf. In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers: "Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has already collected. I will sell them to you at $35 and when the man returns from the city, you can sell them to him for $50 each."

The villagers rounded up all their savings and bought all the monkeys for 700 billion dollars. They never saw the man or his assistant again, only lots and lots of monkeys! Now you have a better understanding of how the Obama Health Care PLAN WILL WORK !!!! It doesn't get much clearer than this................

Writing in Sunday’s New York Times Elizabeth Rosenthal gives these examples:

•When Karen Pineman of Manhattan sought treatment for a broken ankle, her insurer told her that the nearest in-network doctor was in Stamford, Connecticut – in another state.

•Alison Chavez, a California breast cancer patient, was almost on the operating table when her surgery had to be cancelled because several of her doctors were leaving the insurer’s network.

•When the son of Alexis Gersten, a dentist in East Quogue New York, needed an ear, nose and throat specialist, the insurer told her the nearest one was in Albany – five hours away.

•When Andrea Greenberg, a New York lawyer, called an insurance company hotline with questions she found herself speaking to someone reading off a script in the Philippines.

•Aviva Starkman Williams, a California computer engineer, tried to determine whether the pediatrician doing her son’s 2-year-old checkup was in-network, the practice’s office manager “said he didn’t know because doctors came in and out of network all the time, likening the situation to players’ switching teams in the National Basketball Association.”

Obama said we needed to pass ACA to insure the 32 million uninsured Americans.  At last count we had 41 million uninsured Americans.  

Buzzard, you're old enough to know that 41 million - 32 million is a LOSS of 9 million, and thats even AFTER it climbed as high as 45 million.

Lets’ not even talk about the CBO estimate that we will NEVER get below 30 million uninsured.  That’s a new decrease of 2 million people for $2 TRILLION dollars…SOMETIME down the road…maybe.

That's 50k per person to make sure they are insured, which is not to be confused with actual health care and there are still 41 million not covered.
