The Russians take the lead! Oy! i wonder how the left is going to spin this?  I wonder how we look to the rest of the world now? This is what happens when a president isn't elected for their qualifications.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called "on everyone who cares about the fate of the people of Maalula to do everything possible to prevent their killing and the destruction of Christian holy places."

"Terrorist attacks need to be stopped immediately. Special responsibility for them rests with those forces in the region and outside of it that encourage terrorists, intentionally or not," the document says.

Why is Putin seen as doing "all the right things", and our Marxist in the White House—Odumbo—doing the opposite?

Even as Capitol Hill waited to see how the Russian chemical weapons offer played out, lawmakers on both sides of the question of Syria strikes claimed credit for helping force the Assad regime’s hand.

President Obama, in a round of interviews Monday night, said it was his threat of military attack in support of his chemical weapons “red line” that made President Bashar Assad realize he had no choice but to relinquish weapons.

You can't make this stuff up. Kerry may have actually gaffed into a workable solution.

Obama had the opportunity to more aggressively seek a diplomatic solution and resorted to threats instead. Not exactly a shining moment in US foreign policy but then again there have been very few in the last 50 years. Doesn't say much for the inept UN either. I mean did nobody even bother to run a scenario where international possession of chemical weapons was even contemplated?

If anyone is going to make any accusations against the Secretary of State or the President of the United States, those accusations should be based on a foundation of facts, not hysterical innuendo. It's always attack the messenger with you. I guess you're trying to tell me that it wasn't Karl Rove in the video making statements about Benghazi that were already debunked, as stated in the article. If Issa had a slam dunk case on Benghazi, why hasn't anything been done about it?

His favorite news source is a conservative rag created by Sun Myung Moon. That's pretty impartial!!

   Funny, that's exactly what I was thinking but he wouldn't confirm it! An honest to goodness "moonie" in our presence!!

Anyone with a brain in their head (liberals are allowed to "take a knee" for this discussion) would conclude that Obama had zero to do with the Russian "solution". Obama was busy trying to convince Congress and the people of this country to give him an authorization for the "not war" with the "shot across the bow" that was going to be an "unbelievably small strike" on Syria.
 
Susan Rice was busy dissing the Russians for protecting Syria and giving another very emotional speech on why we had to "save the children" with a Military strike.
 
Rice outlined the Obama administration’s case for military action in her speech, arguing that failing to take action would embolden Syrian President Bashar Assad and leaders in Iran and North Korea. Her speech came one day before Obama would address the nation to advocate for taking action in Syria, as congressional and public opposition to military strikes continued to mount.
 
The Rice speech was actually hours after Kerry slip up.
 
Wasn't it particularly fortuitous that the Syrian Foreign Minister just happened to be meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister and that they immediately started issuing press reports that get Syria and Russia off the hot seat?
 
Syria is in the middle of a Civil War; it's pretty clear that this is a giant "stall" for them and for Russia. Obama doesn't care what it is as long as he can get out of the Box he has put himself into with his lose talk about "Red Lines" and "shot across the bow"
 
To add to the farce, it is France that will bring a resolution to the UN for Syria to submit to giving up their Chemical weapons, which for history and incompetence we already KNOW will not happen.
 
Obama and his followers are now trying to claim this was all his idea and that he has been working secretly on this plan whilst he was putting his own party under the gun to give him a vote that they are refusing to give him.

Obama's polls are in the tank, all news reports are that Congress will vote against the authorization that he claims not to need and he and his Team are working in a frenzy to try and coerce them into supporting him...... BUT, he actually had this "secret plan" for a UN solution.
 
Pretty soon we will be hearing things like "phony" and "that's so long ago" from the White House as the media turns it's attention to an Obama demand for a never ending Debt Ceiling.
