Severe thunderstorms a possibility

It got really warm this afternoon.

The wind should start picking up. Possible gusts up to 50 mph. That'll take off some leaves.

Well compared to yesterday!! But it has a really balmy feel to the air right now. THe wind is still pretty strong. Coming home from dinner out, it was a downpour.

There is still a severe thunderstorm watch for our area-it just came on tv.

The road was just covered with leaves and pine needles coming home. I wish that alert horn would stop going off on tv.

What happened to "The Sounder"?

 

What is the sounder? I am in another room but that dang horn keeps going off and is driving me crazy.

Boy that fizzled out!

I use a sounder to find out how much water is under the ice.

We've talked about "The Sounder" earlier: the loud blasts from downtown that indicated the locations of fires.

OH, that! I do miss that. They shut it off quite a few years ago.
