House Republicans on Tuesday narrowed their attack on obamacare to the issue of fairness, insisting that president obama and his top political appointees all have to buy their insurance through the Affordable Care Act’s exchanges as part of a new bill to end the government shutdown and extend the federal debt ceiling.

I can't think of any reason we they wouldn't go for it. obamacare is the Democrats baby. They all seem so proud of the plan. I bet this flies through the House and the Senate.

Agreed. I think this law better count for all. This isn't about money now. It's about hypocrisy.

ObamaCare was never for all the people. It is only for people who don't have insurance and ones who can't afford it. I'm not a big Obama fan but why would you want to hurt people who can afford insurance and have a good plan already. That I know of, Obama never said he wanted to hurt anyone who already has insurance.

I have a good plan and ObamaCare won't effect it at all.

"The president's actions on Obamacare last week were stunning," said House Majority Leader Eric Cantor according to Fox News.

"I never thought I'd see the day when the White House, the president, came down on the side of big business but left the American people out in the cold as far as this health care mandate is concerned."

The delay in starting the employer mandate was announced quietly late Friday when it was posted on the Treasury Department’s website.

Under Obamacare, businesses would have to provide insurance for employees in 2014 or pay fines. Officials said the administration had not issued final regulations in time for employers to comply, forcing them to roll back the start of the employer mandate to 2015.

Insurers say the federal health-care marketplace is generating flawed data that is straining their ability to handle even the trickle of enrollees who have gotten through so far, in a sign that technological problems extend further than the website traffic and software issues already identified.

Federal officials did not permit testing of the Obamacare healthcare.gov website or issue final system requirements until four to six days before its Oct. 1 launch, according to an individual with direct knowledge of the project.

The individual, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the troubled Obamacare website project as suffering from top-level management disarray, changing systems requirements and recurring delays.

The root cause of the problems was a pivotal decision by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services officials to act as systems integrator, the central coordinator for the entire program. Usually this role is reserved for the prime information technology contractor.

As a result, full testing of the site was delayed until four to six days before the fateful Oct. 1 launch of the health care exchanges, the individual said.

Federal officials were “freezing requirements in time to permit full testing at all levels of the site — integration testing, user testing, performance testing and tuning,” the individual said.

“Normally a system this size would need 4-6 months of testing and performance tuning, not 4-6 days,” the individual said.
